15. Not again?!

Niall’s Point of View

I bit into my burger, savoring its flavor.  I was on a break from a bit of business the boys and I had to do regarding the 2013 world tour. I was at McDonalds, trying to have a bit of alone time. I was enjoying my burger thoroughly, but then I looked ahead of me, towards the front door and my heart sunk. It was Zoe.

“Nialler!” She exclaimed as she came up to my booth where I was sitting and sat opposite me.

                “Hi Zoe.”

“How’s work?” She asked as she leaned forward. I leaned back. Suddenly I wasn’t hungry.

“Uhh… it’s okay. Work is work, I guess.” I shrugged my shoulders and pushed my burger forward, indicating I was done with it. “How did you know I was here?”

“Contacts.” Zoe winked at me and smiled.

I inwardly groaned. She was flirting with me, but I wasn’t going to play this game. “I… I have to go,” I apologized and got up.

“Wait.” She grabbed my hand as I placed them on the table to lift myself up.

“What? I’m going to be late.”

“What’s the rush?? I just got here,” Zoe batted her eyelashes at me. “Don’t you like me?”

“I like you… as a friend,” I corrected, pulled my hand out of her grasp. “Feel free to eat my burger, but I have to go.” With that, I walked out of the restaurant, ignoring the fans nearby asking for an autograph or a picture. I wasn’t in the mood, and if I agreed to one I would have to do all of them.

I walked down the street, and crossed the street. From the corner of my eye I could see Zoe following me. When would she give me a break? I loved Amber, not her.

Zoe’s Point of View

I loved Niall, and he must feel the same way. I’m beautiful, and I wouldn’t ask for everything like Amber. He’d be happier with me, for sure. He was happy when we were dating, why not now? Was I not pretty enough to show off to the cameras? Well… I’ll show him.

I followed him out of McDonalds and down the street until I caught up to him.

                “Nialler!”

“What?” He asked as he turned around, obviously not to happy with me.

“We have to catch up some time,” I stated. “How about dinner tonight?”

“I’m busy tonight, and we already caught up,” Niall sounded apologetic. “I have to go though… the boys must be waiting for me.”

“I’ll walk with you,” I volunteered as I linked my arm into his. I saw people around us taking a few pictures. Perfect, that’s just what I wanted.

“Are you sure? I mean, it’s quite the hike, and there is snow on the ground… you’re not dressed for it,” Niall made excuses for me, but I shook them off.

“No, no… it’s fine. I don’t want you to go walking by yourself. It’s dangerous.” I knew that being the gentleman that he was, he wouldn’t refuse me. Maybe I could make Niall fall for me, though it would require a lot of hard work…
