Amber is living any Directioners dream, she is engaged to Niall Horan! But, planning a wedding isn't always as easy as it seems, especially when a crisis arises....

9. Meeting Zoe

Zoe’s Point of View

I checked the house number two, three times. Yes, this must be the right one. I was a bundle of nerves. Amber had told me to come to her house; she gave me the address, and the code for the gate to open. She said there was a surprise for me waiting at her house. I drove to the gate, punched in the code. It opened, which was amazing. Technology and I did not go together at all.

When the gate finished sliding open, I drove through, letting the gate close behind me. The driveway to the house was long, but I understood why. They needed privacy. It was a nice drive though, and they had a beautiful property. Soon enough I saw a house. it was beautiful! Two stories high, but it looked like an antique cottage! Amber seemed to have really outdone herself, she must have spent tonnes of Niall’s money just to build this house! Niall deserved better… no. I couldn’t let myself get into that mind frame. Niall and I were over. Forever.

I parked the car, and got out, noticing a whole bunch of wood and tools on the snow-covered grass. There must have been an interesting story behind that, knowing the One Direction boys. I made my way to the front door, which was large and wooden. I rang the doorbell, and then the door opened. There was Niall, standing right before my eyes. Feelings from years ago engulfed me, and I felt madly in love once again….

Niall’s Point of View

I heard the doorbell, ring, and I knew that Amber was busy cleaning our room upstairs. “I’ll get it!” I yelled, as I put down my bowl of popcorn on the table. I unlocked the door, and opened it. There was a girl who looked almost identical to Amber standing in front of me. At first I thought it was a random fan, but then… then I saw it. In those big, green eyes I saw something that I recognized.

“Zoe?” I asked in disbelief. “Is… is that you?” I hadn’t seen her since we broke up, and that was a nasty break up if I do say so myself.

“Niall!” She sounded as shocked as I did, but had a huge smile. Her eyes were all lit up, and I knew that this could end badly…

“Uhh… come on in,” I invited very awkwardly. “Have a seat on the couch,” I motioned towards the couch in the living room, and closed the door before sitting on the loveseat.

“Nice house you have here,” she said as she sat down, and looked around.

“Yes… but not to be rude, how did you know I lived here?”

“Oh… didn’t Amber tell you I was coming?” Zoe asked in an innocent tone.

“No… how do you know Amber?”

“I kept my job at that wedding dress shop, and then Amber decided to go buy a dress there and…”

“I’ve heard enough,” I put up my hand to silence her. “I need food if this is going to be a long story.” My stomach was growling, and Zoe laughed at me.

“Oh, Nialler! You haven’t changed one bit!”

“Mmm…” I replied as I got up and grabbed a bag of original flavoured chips, knowing those were her favourite and went back to my seat. “Now… now you can continue with your long, boreing stories…” I opened up the bag, and half-listened as she updated me on her life. She was just the same talkative girl I remember from four years ago. The only difference was we weren’t in a relationship, and I was engaged. I really hoped that Zoe didn’t have any feelings for me anymore, but inside I did. Man, this could totally affect my relationship with Amber, couldn’t it??
