The Summer I Never Expected

Lexi is a normal 19 year old California girl that gets the opportunity to visit her amazing (and filthy rich) aunt and uncle in Maryland for the summer. Little does she know that her uncle's small record company just signed a new client. And it just so happens to be her favorite boyband...

2. Leaving On A Jetplane

After helping me check in my luggage and buying me a Jamba Juice (seeing as they don't have any in the East Coast) my mom and I said our goodbyes while I waited to go through security.

"Now, have your ID ready. Where's your ticket? Don't forget to take off any metal!"

"Mom, I'm 19, I think I know what to do by now."

I was her first born so she was always fussing about me.

"I know, I just want to make sure you'll be okay. Don't forget to call me when you get to Sissy's okay?"

"Will do." I said as I got my ticket out of my purse.

Sissy is my aunt, by the way. Don't ask me why we call her that. I don't even know to be perfectly honest.

"And if I forgot anything, I'm sure Sissy will buy it for me." I said smiling.

Remember how I mentioned that they're filthy rich? Well my aunt used to work on Air Force 1 with the president. And my uncle is a music producer. Not a big named one, but he still has plenty of clients.

"Yeah, no doubt she'll take you shopping." My mom was not even trying to hide her jealousy that I was about to be spoiled for an entire month. "Be sure to bring me back a Coach purse, yeah?"

I laughed, "Of course."

I kissed her on the cheek, and with that, I was off.
