The Other One

Wow! I haven't been on this account in ages! I would like to re-write this storyline again as I loved the original idea and would like to improve it, and make it much more better! If you would like to read the improved version, please check out my new account: _Allegra_
Thanks :)

12. Fear

Fear. That was what I felt as I entered my room. I pulled a small bag from underneath the bed and started to put things in. Clothes, hygeine uses and useful things were frantically pushed into the bag. Suprisingly, there wasn't a lot I needed. I was panicking so much that I didn't even realise that some one was at the door.

"You didn't last long at all! It wasn't even a month; you really are useless but I'm just glad that you are finally leaving us. I better go tell father that you have already started to pack." he said. I stared back at him but I just gave out a long sigh. I suppose it wouldn't matter if I told him the truth.

" Do you know what happens if we get sent back?" I asked, " We are killed. No excuse. That is why I have to escape. I stood up and gripped his shoulders. He flinches slightly but he stared at me. " I'm sorry that I have made you suffer. I never wanted to hurt your feelings in any way but I had to act like your sister so I could stay alive. But I do know that your sister loved you very much and I hope that you will be happier when I am gone." I explained.

He looked at me with tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry too. I never should of treated you that way. I understand now and I will remember you're bravery." He said. I gave him a quick hug but jumped when I heard the sound of the orphanage car; ready to pick me up. " It's ok, he said calmly, I'll stall my parents." I thanked him as I  began gathering my stuff. That was when I remembered the gift that the inspector gave to me before I left. " This is for you." I gave him the present and he opened it with glee. It was a photo album of Mia and Jason. They both looked so happy together. I then knew that my place was not here; I need my own life. We both looked at eachother for the last time as I climbed out of my window.

Outside  was Jack, impatiently waiting for me. He grabbed my hand tightly as we sprinted along the rain-filled pavement. The rain came dashing down through the endless night but the town slept on.

I thought that being Mia would change my life for the better but it didn't. I don't think it's fair for me to replace someone as it causes so much sadness in the end. I can now carry on as me; not 01480 or Mia.I will now be myself and not the other one.

This is the end of book 1 but I will be making part 2 of The Other One in another book. I hoped you enjoyed part 1!
