Reflection

They say that having an identical twin is like looking in the mirror, it’s an extra replica of you but different, in the way that it’s not you. For me, that’s the case. I’m April, April Parkinson, daughter to the famous Aussie surfer Joel Parkinson. And Georgia is my twin.

What happens when you add twins into the equation of love?

1. Introducing the Parkinson Twins

They say that having an identical twin is like looking in the mirror, it’s an extra replica of you but different, in the way that it’s not you. For me, that’s the case. I’m April, April Parkinson, daughter to the famous Aussie surfer Joel Parkinson. And Georgia is my twin that always has to outdo me in everything. On the outside we may look the same; long wavy brown hair, bluey green eyes, petite figure and around 5’1”. But on the inside we are different. Georgia is 3 minutes older than me and is more of a social butterfly than I am and she can just about get any guy she wants eating out of her hand within minutes, but I can’t. I suppose she has one advantage over me, she has slightly bigger boobs than I do. She loves attention and will do anything it. That’s the only reason she surfs. I know she doesn’t love surfing as much as I do; in her eyes it’s the key to fame and attention. Me, on the other hand, I love surfing and spend every minute I can in the water. I certainly walk in dad’s footsteps. I’m the quieter type who likes to stay a bit more hidden where possible. Georgia is just like any other 17 year old girl at our school, obsessed by boys. The walls of her bedroom are covered in posters of actors as well as a few singers. I’m not like that.  Did I mention how much Georgia loves attention? She wants to be famous one day. Even though she does annoy me sometimes, she’s my sister and I love her to pieces. I love her the way she is and I don’t think I could have wished for a better sister in the world.
