Follow Your Heart

~What happens when you love someone too much, that at some point you have to let them go?~
Alexis is the type of girl who has had everything. Her future is laid out in front of her. One night she stumble across no one other than Harry Styles. Falling head over heels, both Harry and Alexis will have to overcome many obstacles to make their relationship work.
In the end though, it is all up to that four letter words that can make or break anything- Fate. Will fate be in favor of Alexis and Harry?

7. Isn't He Just Lovely?

The dinner went smoothly after my little 'episode'. We finished our meals talking about his band, new tour dates coming up, his family, etc. After we ate everything on our plates, Harry helped me with the dishes.

"I had an amazing night." Harry said, drying a plate and putting it back into the cabinet where it belonged.

"We should do this more often. I like spending time with you." I turned to face Harry's smiling face.

His smile was bright and pearly, perfect. "I'd love that." Harry stepped closer to me. Hands moving to cup my cheeks. Green eyes on my hazel eyes, he whispered, "You look absolutely stunning tonight."

Instantly my cheeks began to flush a deep crimson. But before I was able to say thank you, Harry's lips had crashed to mine. For moments we were encased in each other.

Then something happened. My mother, of all people walked into the room.

"Why was the-"

Like lightening me and Harry broke apart from the kiss. To say my mother's face was priceless would definitely be an understatement.

"Hello, mom. I don't believe you have met Harry." Harry shifted his weight awkwardly.

She put a obviously fake smile on her face, and reached her hand out. "I don't believe I have. My name is Karen."

Harry took her hand, as she shook it firmly. "It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Groene."

She pulled her hand away, then looked at me with a death stare, as she said, "Please, just call me Karen."

I put my hands together. "Well, I was just about to walk him out." I turned my back from my mum, and faced Harry with wide eyes.

"Nice to meet you." He nodded his head towards her.

"Same." She said, then to me added, "Locked the door behind you." I got the notion she didn't approve of Harry. Well then...

Taking hold of Harry's hand, I led him to the door, to walk him to his car.

When we reached his car door, his arms instantly wrapped themselves around me, pulling me tightly against his chest.

His eyes were tentative. "Do you think we could do this someplace... else, next time?"

At that second I hated my mum, she had approved of Jeremy, yet not Harry. Stupid, abusive, and manipulative Jeremy, but not kind loving and gentle Harry? That lady had major, I mean major issues.

"Yeah that sounds perfect." I smiled slightly, yet his smile glowed.

"I can't wait to bring you to my place. I just signed to stay here until the next tour!" Harry beamed.

My heart fluttered. He wanted me to come o his place. "Oh, Harry I would love that."

He chuckled, then leaned his mouth to my ear, and whispered, "I can't wait to cook for you." He nibbled on my ear, making me laugh.

"I just bet you are a magnificent cook, Mr. Chef Styles." I watched as he grinned.

"Did I say I was going to cook for you?"

I looked at him quizzically.

"When I mean cook, I mean ordering something for take out." Harry deeply laughed, then added, "I am not a chef by all means. I am certainly just gifted with singing."

I playfully shoved his shoulder.

"I could teach you." I tried sounding seductive, but it only made Harry laugh harder.

"I would truly enjoy that, miss." And like that, Harry leaned in and kissed me.

I didn't hesitate to start kissing him back. He tasted of mint and smelled like a Aeropostle model (even looked like one, for God's sake). My hands reached up to rustle through his dark curls. "I like you.. I like you a lot, Alexis Grace." Harry breathed before pulling away.

My cheeks heated at an instant.

"I can't wait to see you again." He hugged then pecked me on the lips, before opening the door to his pricey looking car. "Don't kill yourself to call me, I'll be waiting."

He chuckled, then got in the car. I Smiled and blushed deeply, as he pulled away. Disappearing into the dark street.

When I closed the front door behind me, I slid down he back of the door, thinking of our whole night.

My mom appeared, looking quite frustrated. "Isn't he just wonderful?" She said sarcastically.

I looked at her with a blank expression. "Yes, mother. If you must know, he is lovely."

Mum's face turned bright red. Then she turned on her heel and left.

How does it feel to have a taste of your own medicine, I mumbled.
