29. A lot to say...

Niall's P.O.V.

I stared dumbfounded as Louis carefully put Eliana down on the floor and turned to face the boys and I. It was really him. I could see him. A tear was welling to my eye but I held it back. I needed to know what happened. Under such surprise, I barely noticed that the doctor and nurse had already left us alone. My mouth began forming the shape of words but then Louis spoke out.

"You're probably all wondering why I'm I'm here"

All of us nodded, just as shocked as each other.

"You're supposed to be dead" Harry blurted out. I quivered at the sound of his voice interlacing with the fresh sound of Louis'.

"Yes" Louis simply nodded but said no more. He still looked like the old Louis, fresh faced, untroubled, young and having a smile within his eyes. It was as if nothing had changed. But it had. He died, or at least had. It tore the boys' lives apart. It tore my life apart and I couldn't forget that torment.

"Well, I guess I should explain..." He began.

"Back at the building when the fire was blazing, I was forcibly strapped into a chair with no way of escaping from it. In reality, I found that my hands hadn't been fastened securely to the chair so after several attempts to remove the rope, I managed it. The smoke from the fire had now consumed the room, which made breathing difficult. However, once my hands were free, I was able to unwind the rope from my ankles so then I was off of the chair and able to escape. I made my way through the building, although I had no idea of where to go. I searched each room for an exit but all the windows that were not destroyed by the fire were locked. Eventually I found the staircase and I thought I was on my way to escaping. I heard Eliana screaming so with every ounce of courage I had, I used it in making light of the situation. I ignored the fact that my clothing was burning quickly. As I reached the hallway however, I spotted some red sticks and then all of a sudden there was an explosion. I was blown back and I think I must have been knocked out. The next thing I knew was that I was being carried by someone. I rolled off to find a woman had carried me all the way to her house which was more like a hut than a house. Plus, she lived in the countryside. She healed my wounds but the blow must have damaged my memory because I forgot a lot of stuff. I didn't remember anything about the fire or Eliana. I knew little of the band itself sadly." Louis quickly wiped his cheek before continuing.

"This woman coaxed me back to remembering everything but not without a lot of time. It took months for me to remember. I would source out where the band was heading to watch over you all. That helped with my memory a lot more because odd things such as the way you all behaved suddenly spurred off another memory. It wasn't until now that I decided the time was right to reveal myself. I didn't want to hurt you all by visiting and leaving when I could barely remember anything about myself, let alone you guys"

Louis stopped, having finished what he thought was a full explanation.

"But that doesn't explain why I could see you when no one else could" I shot, my sadness and  anger audible within my voice.

Louis' brows furrowed. He sent me a cautious glance and held a hand to his face, deep in thought.

So what does Louis think about Niall seeing him when no one else could? Was he clearly being mad because of his depressionate state? Or is Louis a supernatural force? Read on to find out...
