21. Our little suprise ( Bellas p.o.v)

Edward and I had decided to just take the time to relax these last couple of days, and be a normal couple. well…I mean as normal as we could possibly be. Beings our honeymoon was nearly over. The thought saddened me, it had been nothing short of perfect. Edward had really out done himself this time. Everything was absolutely perfect, and in the long run, I couldn’t be happier that Edward had convinced me to marry him. I had the most wonderful Husband in the world. He was mine to keep forever, and I was his. I don’t think I’d ever quite get use to the idea. I think a part of me felt a great deal of relief once he had said “I do”. Because that had been my concrete reassurance that he would not leave me again. I mean, It was me that had so much to gain by marrying him. It was almost as if he’d lost the wager, I was hardly perfect, nor what you would call beautiful. I was a klutz, awkward looking, pig headed, and unusually pale. But not to my Edward, he always had a way to find the beauty in things. He’s very old fashioned so once married, it’s permanent, you smooth out all the wrinkles in your relationship. Plus, it was clearly obvious that the Cullen’s didn’t marry just anybody, you truly had to be the most special kind of Soul mate. Edward leaned over and began to kiss me passionately when suddenly a wave of nausea washed over me, my stomach churned, I pushed him off me quickly making him fall off the bed. I grabbed the nearest waste basket to me and vomited in it. It was the oddest thing, I’d felt perfectly fine up until now. I sat heaving in it, the basket between my knee’s. I felt utterly repulsive puking in front of him, it was just something I’d rather him not have witnessed, a state of vulnerability I didn’t want revealed. Tears streaked down my face. I’d always hated puking. I was a baby. “Bella, love, are you okay?” He asked rubbing my back, a V forming between his eyebrows. I quickly covered my mouth, and proceeded to nod. “ Maybe we should cut this trip short Bella?” He’d insisted. “No Edward. I’m perfectly fine, see!” I said mustering up a coy smile. He hardly looked convinced but he decided not to press on with the subject. Perhaps because he didn’t want to stress me any further. I must have looked as bad as I felt. With a whoosh, he was back in the room at my side with an empty cup, some Listerine and glass of water. He was always so thoughtful. “ That taste must be awful I’d imagine!” He said kissing my cheek, his arm draped over my shoulder. “ Ha”. I said sarcastically shooting him a glare as I gurgled the Listerine swishing it around in my mouth and then spitting it into the cup. “Your lucky!” I said as I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand. “ Oh I am, am I? And why would that be miss Cullen?” He challenged , his eyebrows perked in amusement. I loved the sound of that, it really was going to take some time getting use to though. “ Oh don’t you get me started!” I warned. He nodded, “perhaps your right!” He agreed, knowing just how stubborn I was and how set on becoming a vampire I’d been.

Surprisingly enough, I felt incredibly hungry. Like I hadn’t eaten in days, quite possibly weeks even. Usually after I puked, there was not a chance in hell that I would eat it. “ Urgh, I’m starving!” I said making my way to the kitchen. I heard Edward chuckle as he followed closely behind. “ OW!!! OW!!” I screamed falling forward clutching my stomach. Edward quickly scooped me up into his firm arms. “Bella, Bella what is wrong?” He asked more concerned than I’d ever heard him before. “ Oh my god, it hurts, Edward, it hurts so bad!” I cried out in agony, as I felt a sharp stabbing pain in my stomach feeling as if my insides were being twisted around one another. “What hurts Bella? Please, talk to me!” He begged, his eyes sad, his expression twisted like the time Jane had tortured him. “ Make it stop Edward please, make it stop!” I screamed through my teeth clawing at my stomach. “ Oh Bella, if only you knew how badly I wish that I could do that for you, I would take your pain in a heartbeat!” He assured me kissing my forehead as he laid me down on the couch smoothing my hair back from my face.” Bucket, QUICK!!” I warned, trying to keep the vile down. Edward shoved it forward under my chin just in time for me to vomit into it. “thank you” I muttered quietly after wiping my mouth and laying back. The pains had come to slow down and were more irregular. “Bella, do you want to tell me what that was all about?” He asked, his voice stern. “ It’s a bad case of the flu I’m sure!” It was my poor attempt at a lie. “ Bella, I’ve been around 108 years, I know enough to know that this is not your average case of flu!” . I did my best to quickly change the subject. “ If you would Edward, I’d like to go to the bathroom please, I need to pee like a Russian race horse!” I snorted. He hardly looked amused, but nodded then scooped me up again and set me down in the bathroom. “ Ahem” I cleared my throat “ I’m sorry, but you just can’t watch me pee!” I mused. “ I’ll be right outside the door if you need me Bella!” He assured me, I nodded. I took out the small bathroom bag that Alice had packed for me, unzipping it as I sat down on the toilet seat cover. Inside was a pink box, pulling it out I read the words “pregnancy test” , had Alice seen something I had not? No, it wasn’t possible. Her vision had to be wrong. I pulled the test out and reluctantly peed on it, setting the test down on the toilet waiting for the results. I paced back and forth impatiently waiting for the results. “Bella? You alright in there?” Edward asked knocking on the door. “Huh? Oh.. Um yeah, just a minute Edward!” I called out. Finally I looked down at the test, alarmed by what it was that I saw next. It read the words “pregnant” across it. Reality hit hard. I quickly covered my mouth and gasped. How was it possible? I then went through the numbers in my head, I was 2 weeks late for my period. I lifted my shirt up a little to see my belly sticking out. How had I not noticed? It was as if it just grew over night. Even so, it wouldn’t be possible, nobody gets pregnant and shows that quickly. I was horrified.
