*The Next Day*

*Courtney's P.O.V.*

I was scrolling through my Twitter feed on my laptop when I saw a picture of Louis and my babies sleeping on the floor that Harry tweeted. "Night PaPa Lou ;)" The whole Twittersphere was blowing up. "Who's the mom?!" "How old are they?" "Oh my god! So cutee" "Did him & El adopt?" My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. I looked up and saw my friend Kendall. And yes, I named my little angel after him.

"Hey pretty boy," I smiled. "What's up klutz?" he joked. I rolled my eyes and sat in the chair next to me. "So did you see the pictures?" he asked seeing that I was on my laptop. "Yeah. I don't see why Harry put that on there." "It's Harry, we never will," he smiled. "That's true."
"So how long are you staying here?" "Tomorrow." He just nodded. "When you get out, do you want to go to the movies?" "Well Lou and I are gonna go to the park with the kids so I don't know."

I saw anger flash in his eyes. He was always telling me to get back together with Lou so I don't see why he would feel angry about that. "Do you think you two are going to get back together?" I thought about it for a while. I still did love Lou with all my heart. But he has Eleanor and their unborn child. "I want-" "I love you Court." I felt my jaw drop in shock. My best friend just told me he loved me. What do I say back?! Do I love him? Of course I do but just as a brother. Nothing more.

When I was about to say something, Louis came in with the kids. "Mommy!" my little angel smiled. "Hey princess." "Hi Uncle Kendall," Logan smiled. "Hey little man," Kendall replied dully. "So did they behave?" I asked Lou. "Like perfect little Southern angels," he smiled. "Just like their mama," I smiled causing Louis to burst out in laughter. I just rolled my eyes.

"So when do you get out?" Lou asked. "Tomorrow thank god." I looked over at Kendall and saw a depressed look on his face. He took his phone out his pocket and looked at. "Well I have to go. See ya later guys," he smiled as he left. I rolled my eyes because I knew he was lying. "What's up with him?" Lou asked. "He's PMSing," I joked. Kennie and Log where watching Spongebob at the end of my bed.
"What that mommy?" Logan asked pointing at the cast on my leg. "It's a cast baby. It fixes boo boos to bones," I explained to him. "Do you want to write your names on it?" I asked both of them. The quickly nodded their heads.

I looked over at Lou who took out a Sharpie out of his pocket. "What?" he asked after I gave him a questioning look. "It's in case anyone wants a signature." "Can you put the outline of the letters for them?" I asked him. He nodded his head as he made dotted versions of letters on my cast. "Can you feel that mama?" Ken asked "No ma'am," I smiled.

When Lou was done, he handed Logan the marker. "Don't get on yourself boy," I told him. He nodded as he tried as hard as he could to stay on the dashes. He did pretty good I have to admit. "Great job Logan," Louis smiled to our son. "Thank you daddy," he smiled back. I could tell that he was happier now that he had someone to call daddy.

After the first day of daycare, when I picked them up, they were asking why they didn't have a daddy. It took me a while to think of a way to explain it in a way that they would understand. "Daddy is working," I simply told them which lead to more questions. I felt like I was being interrogated by the police, not telling my children about their dad.
Louis stayed a little while longer. When he left, he took the kids with him. "See you guys tomorrow," I smiled. "Oh I'm dropping them off at your house," Louis informed me as he walked out the door. I rolled my eyes. Why did I fall in love with that dork?

"WHOO HOO!" My phone blared, causing me to jump out of my bed. I looked at the caller I.D. and saw that Courtney was calling me. "Hey girl hey," I said cheerfully as I answered the phone. "Can you come and pick me up from the hospital?" her beautiful voice sang. "I thought Louis was going to do that," I said as I got dressed. "He had some sort of event. Any who can you just pick me up. Stop by the house first to get me something to wear. I told Mark to leave an outfit on the table." I told I was on my way and then hung up.

I walked into her house since it was unlocked. I saw a bag sitting on the table. I picked the bag up and then left. I was excited to show Court that I was responsible. I have always liked her. She has this thing about her that makes you smile when you think about her.
When I got to the hospital I ran to the elevator. The whole ride, I get tapping my foot. When the door opened, I took off, not looking where I'm going. I stop after I ran into someone. I saw a girl in scrubs on the ground. "Are you ok?" I asked her, as I held my hand out to help her up.
Her bleach blonde hair was in a braided ponytail and she had beautiful blue eyes. "Just fine thank you," she shyly smiled. "I'm Kendall," I smiled as I introduced myself. "Kristin," she smiled back. "Do you work here?" I stupidly asked. "Nope, this is what I wear every day," she replied sarcastically causing me to laugh.

"So are you here for Courtney?" she asked after an awkward moment of silence. "Yeah, how did you know?" "I saw you walking to her room every day," she blushed. "Is she checked out?" "Yep. She's just waiting for you."  I heard a buzzing sound coming from her pocket. She looked down and took out her pager. "Got to go. It's time to give Mr. Smith his meds." I could feel the smile on my face disappear as she walked away. “It was nice talking to you Kendall,” she turned and smiled to me as she walked away. I felt my smile come back. It stayed the whole walk to Court’s room. “Well looks like someone woke up on the right side of the bed this morning,” she smiled. “Ya know it!” I grinned. I handed her the bag and then her crutches. “You would think that I would be used to these by now,” she joked. When she was in high school and college, she played softball. I guess every other practice or game she would do something to her leg. “Do you need help?” I asked. “I got it Ken,” she said as she hobbled over to the bathroom to change.

I felt bad for her when she came out. She was wearing this. “Let’s go,” she smiled. “Are you sure you’re fine wearing that?” I asked. It was summer time in South Carolina and she’s wear what you would wear during the fall in the north. “Just fine,” she smiled as she hobbled out the door to sit in a wheel chair sitting outside the room. “Should I wait for a nurse or something?” “Nahhh. I got this, go ahead and get the car. I’ll meet ya down there.” I did as I was told and meet her at the main entrance.

“Oh do you mind staying for a little bit. I guess Sierra is throwing some sort of ‘Welcome Home’ party.” “Who’s going to be there?” “Mark, the kids, Sierra, her sister Kristin, Harry, and the rest of the guys,” she informed me. “Sierra has a sister?” I asked her. I have practically know all of Sierra’s family. “Yeah. She works here.” The light bulb went off. I was going to see the girl I had just fallen in love with again. I tried to keep my excitement down as I drove to the house. When I got there, I helped Court out of the car and then ran to open the door. When I opened it, I saw her talking to my little wingman Logan. “Uncle Kendall!” he smiled to me causing Kristin to look up at me. I felt like the world stopped spinning. “Welcome home Courtney! We’re glad you’re home safe and sound,” Courtney said in a mimicking tone. The whole room laughed and then walked outside to the patio to have lunch. Louis sat next to Court while I sat next to Kristin across from them. Me and her talked the whole time only to each other, answering questions from the others every once in a while. I will have to admit, today was the best day ever. :)
