30. Make Over

"Hey babe," A voice broke me out of my thought as I walked into the kitchen. I smiled at Jade who was sitting at the counter eating out of a bowl filled with various fruits. I snatched a strawberry from it, biting into it as she smiled at me, "How were your rehearsals?"

"Tiring," I admitted, plopping onto the stool beside her, "Yours?"

"Long," She agreed with a nod. I smiled gently.

In the contestant house, things hadn't changed at all between Jade and I. We were going against each other but we were still friends. Her group, Rhythmix, was four girls including Jade and Leigh Anne. The two other girls, Jesy and Perrie were very sweet. The five of us really clicked but still, Jade and I still managed to be closer than the rest. A few things had changed though...

When we got to the X Factor House, we were given "make overs". The stylists knew exactly what they wanted to do with me the second I sat down. It was a bit scary really and I remember talking during the little clip that would make it into the show where I just said that I was ready for the change, even if it started with how I looked. Jade and the other girls had said it made me look even more beautiful but I was quick to deny it.

My once long chestnut brown hair was now a shade lighter. The stylists were constantly putting a natural wave to it and I had to admit, I liked it. They decided my style would be trendy and very hipster and I loved the outfits they had started picking out for me and for some future performances. My main stylist's name was Lou and she was very nice and very trendy. She took a quick adoration to my eyes, reminding me that every performance, she would make them pop and I would just smile and agree.

"I have stage rehearsals in an hour so I need food," I said as my stomach grumbled and she giggled. I got up and before I could even look for something, three cooks came in and offered to make something for me. When I defended I could do it myself, they insisted so I let them do their thing and they whipped Jade and I up some meals of chicken and rice which was extremely good and would leave me set until dinner.
