6. Waiting For A Boy Like You

Hello lovelies :)

Before I start the chapter there are some things I would like to share with you. As some of you may know, Hurricane Sandy has just swept through the Caribbean and is now headed for the northeast coast of the U.S. (that's where I live). I'm most likely going to lose power, so if I'm off for a long period of time- that's why. And also please say a prayer for the people who were affected by the hurricane in the Caribbean. The death toll is already 43 and rising, so please pray for them and their families at this scary time. And to any east coast directioners who are preparing like me, STAY SAFE! xx

Okay, that's all! Let's start Chapter 6-

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rest of the night with the boys was so much fun. We talked and laughed in the jacuzzi for a while, and then we went inside to eat food and goof around. Somehow we convinced Harry to do the cinnamon challenge...

That was epic. Seriously epic.

After that Zayn put on some action movie, but none of us really payed attention, we just talked and talked and messed around. Being with the boys was so much fun. They were all so funny, I seriously had never laughed so hard in one night. I had to leave around 11, and they all walked me out to my car, such gentlemen. I got hugs from all of them, and Louis said: "You're welcome here any time babe" which made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

When it was time to hug Liam, it lasted longer than the others'. Zayn cleared his throat, and I turned to see everyone smirking at us. I playfully stuck my tongue out at them as Liam whispered in my ear, "I'll call you tomorrow babe." which shot shivers down my spine. I looked at him and smiled and nodded, before letting go and saying a final goodbye to all of the boys.

Now I was sitting at home watching the telly with mum. I just took a shower after training with Jay this morning, and I was eating a bowl of Special K cereal. We were having a nice chat.

"So how are things with your boy?" She asked smiling. I laughed.

"Mum! He's not my boy yet, we haven't even been on a date."

"But didn't he say he would take you on a date?"

"...yeah."

"Well then he's obviously interested in you! He fancies you, you fancy him. I'm telling you Kristina it won't be long until he's your boy."

"Mum, I don't even know if I have the time to have a relationship right now. And I don't think he does either, I mean he just got out of a two year relationship, he's about to start a tour..." I had to focus on the Olympics right now. But.....I couldn't get Liam out of my mind...then I heard something odd come from the telly.

"OLYMPIC TRACK STAR KRISTINA LEXA WAS SEEN LAST NIGHT GETTING TO KNOW THE BOYS OF ONE DIRECTION. IN THESE PHOTOS YOU CAN SEE HER DRIVING TO AND FROM THE FLAT OF LOUIS TOMLINSON, AND HERE, SHE IS GETTING QUITE FRIENDLY WITH LIAM PAYNE, THE NEWLY SINGLE LAD OF THE BAND. HAS LIAM MOVED ON ALREADY? AND IS KRISTINA LEXA FOCUSING MORE ON HER LOVE LIFE THEN WINNING GOLD HERE IN LONDON? MORE AFTER THE BREAK."

"Oh wow.." I said in astonishment. They got pictures of me in Louis' driveway and me hugging Liam before I left. Ah those sneaky paparazzi..I heard mum giggling.

"Get ready Kristina, this is only the beginning." And I knew she was right, One Direction is the biggest boy band in the world. I just didn't want to turn into the next Caroline Flack.

Suddenly I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. I jumped, and suddenly my heart beat was going crazy. I put my bowl of cereal on the coffee table and went to my room to answer it.

"Hello?'

"Hey Kristina it's Liam."

"Oh hi! How are you?"

"I'm good babe, thanks. So I was wondering if...you were free tonight?"

"Um, yeah I'm not doing anything!"

"Great! I'll come get you at your flat around seven, is that okay?"

"Perfect, I'll text you my address."

"Awesome! I'll see you tonight then!"

"Can't wait! See you then!"

We both said goodbye and I hung up. I grabbed one of my pillows and screamed into it. I was about to go on a date with freaking LIAM PAYNE. My intense fangirling was sooon replaced with panic though, I had to start getting ready. After texting Liam my address, I started looking through my prettiest dresses and shoes. After finding the perfect outfit, I picked out the accessories.

"HAIR!! Oh my god hair." I ran to get my rollers and quickly rolled my hair. As I waited for it to set I did my makeup. I concealed my black eye, which was slightly faded now, it was a lot easier to conceal than before. Then I applied my foundation and eye makeup. After finishing off with my favorite red lipstick I took out the rollers and I got the perfect waves and curls I wanted.

"Ready." I said as I looked at my finished result in the mirror.

I walked downstairs and my mum looked at me with a smile on her face.

"Oh my Kristina...you're not my baby girl anymore. You've turned into a beautiful young lady."

I chuckled at her and gave her a big hug.

"Oh mum, you're not gonna start crying are you?"

"No no, no tears sweetheart. So when is Liam coming?"

Knock Knock Knock

"Apparently now." I walked over to our front door and opened it to see a beautiful god like creature standing there on our front step. He was wearing a fitted, very fitted, black tee with some skinny khakis and white polo sneakers. He looked absolutely FIT.

"Hey babe." He said, making my heart melt with his cute little smile.

"Hey!" I said giving him a hug. "Come in for a sec, come meet my mum." I took his hand and led him in the house. Mum was walking out of the kitchen and she saw me and Liam. She smiled wide and walked to Liam with her arms open. I let go of his hand and they shared a hug. I guess I should have warned him that's she's a major hugger.

"It's so nice to meet you Mrs. Lexa, how are you?"

"I'm wonderful thank you! And please, call me Miss Amy, Mrs. Lexa makes me sound like an old lady! And it's nice too finally meet you as well, I keep hearing about you from Krist-"

"MUM!" I yelled giving her the 'please stop talking right now' look.

"Oh am I embarrassing you??" She said with a laugh. I nodded yes.

"Okay bye mum, I think we have to go now.." I took Liam's hand again and headed for the door. He opened it and waved politely back at my mum before stepping out with me. As he led me to his car I heard mum yell from the door.

"Have fun you two!" She said waving to us.

I sighed as Liam opened the passenger door to his gorgeous black lamborghini. I thanked him and slid inside as he closed the door. He went around and climbed in the driver's seat and closed the door. I looked at him with apologetic eyes.

"Sorry about that, my mum is so embarrassing..." I said looking down shaking my head.

"No don't worry about it, I think she's quite funny." He said laughing a bit and turning on the car. It hummed and he pulled out of the driveway. He turned and then looked me up and down quickly. "You look very nice tonight." He said with another killer smile.

"Thank you, you look very fit yourself. So may I ask where we're headed?" I asked excited.

"One of my favorite places, in downtown London. It's called La Terrazza. Best Italian food I've ever had." Italian food was AMAZING, I was very pleased with his choice. We chatted for a while until we arrived at the restaurant. He parked, and we both got out of the car. Immediately he came over to me and grabbed my hand, walking very close to me, very protectively.

"What?" I laughed. He was looking around.

"Any minute the paparrazzi will show up and I don't want you getting hurt." he replied.

"Aw, thank you Liam, that's very sweet of you." I rested my head on his shoulder. He was so sweet to look out for me like that.

Out of no where, it seemed like, they all came. We were feet from the entrance to the restaurant, but it was now blocked by photographers. The flashes kind of hurt my eyes, but I kept walking behind Liam, holding on to his hand. Liam, being through this a million times before, ordered them to move aside so he and I could go in. With some help from the restaurant's security, they listened and moved from the door. Me and Liam went inside and were immediately escorted to our private table. I looked around the beautiful interior and marveled at how elegant it was. We sat at out table, and Liam kindly thanked the hostess before she left us alone.

"Liam this place is gorgeous..." I said in astonishment. It really was a beautiful place.

"Well...I mean compared to you, I guess it's alright." I blushed red. Ugh, he was too sweet, too PERFECT. We both looked at out menus and ordered our food when the waiter came around. Then we got to talking.

"So Jay told me you two met in the emergency room." he said. My heart stopped...oh no would I have to tell him about the black eye incident?

"Oh um, hah yeah we did. What was he doing there anyways?" I replied trying to change the subject.

"Oh I think one of his clients broke their toe on a weight of something like that...but the real question is, why were you there?"

Damn it.

"Um...well. It's kind of a long story." I said nervously.

"I've got time." He said. No, no this was not good...

"Ok. Well my last trainer was my boyfr-" I stopped myself. "Ex-boyfriend, Alex Ryder. Well obviously, he's not my trainer anymore..."

"What happened? Did you fire him?"

"Yeah...he kind of...hit..me..." I looked down in my lap and fidgeted with my hands. I was so uncomfortable talking about this. After a while of silence I peaked up at him. He looked like a mix of surprise, anger, concern, and disgust on his face.

"He HIT you?! That sick, sick bastard...oh god Kristina that's so awful, I'm so sorry." He reached under the table and grabbed my hand, stroking the back of mine with his thumb. It made me feel better.

"Thanks babe. And he's out of my life now, so I won't have to deal with his bullshit anymore." I replied. It felt good to tell someone else besides my mum about that day. And I felt closer to Liam now too.

After that we talked and talked about all sorts of things. The Olympics, how both of us ran track in highschool, our likes, dislikes...we really got to know each other a lot better. It was really nice. After we ate our food (WHICH WAS SO FREAKING GOOD) he payed for the meal and we left the restaurant. But this time we snuck out the back and took a short cut to the car to avoid the paparrazzi. We managed to get to the car without any disturbances. On the ride home we laughed and laughed, until he pulled up to my flat. He parked the car and started to open his door. I stopped him.

"Liam, if you walk me to my door, I know my mum will spy. So you don't have too." I said as I unbuckled my seatbelt.

"Oh okay," he replied. "so I guess I'll say goodnight to you now then." He leaned in close to me and placed a hand on my neck. I leaned in too, to meet his lips. And then they crashed into each other, and my head started spinning. This kiss, was like no other kiss I'd had before. When I kissed Alex, it was just hungry and full of lust. But kissing Liam was different...there was gentleness but at the same time passion. After what seemed like forever, I pulled away.

"Thank you for a lovely night, Liam." I said a little out of breath from the kiss.

"Of course. I'll call you tomorrow, yeah?" I nodded and kissed him again, which was equally as passionate as the first. Then I got out of the car, and walked to my door, waving to Liam before he drove away. What a night...what a perfect, perfect night.

Or so I thought.

I found a paper on my doorstep. Curious, I picked it up and read it. It was a newspaper article from today's paper of me and Liam hugging in Louis' driveway. But someone had scribbled out Liam's face with a marker and wrote in big letters:

If I can't have you,

no one can.

I froze.

I stood there looking at the words, and then my gaze went to the end of the street where I saw the red tail lights of a familiar silver car turning off our street. I realized that same car had been parked across from my house since I left with Liam on our date earlier today. How had I not noticed it before? I knew that car...the last time I was in it I....

I lifted my hand to my face, and I touched my eye.
