Take Me Away

One her 18th birthday Arianna receive a letter in the mail. It is her parents' will entitling her to £10,000.00. This was her chance to leave her rotten parents (ones that adopted her) that abused her and mistreated her. Since she's always wanted to be a singer, Arianna applies to her dream school, (not real) Union Music Academy. It was fairly new, but popular. But when she goes, she doesn't expect to meet Zayn Malik from One Direction...and fall in love with him?

4. Mr. Malik

ARIANNA'S POV:

"S-Sorry," I said feeling a bit pressured by the stares. "Not to worry..." Zayn said scratching his head, he gave me a sympathetic smile. But Mr. Letterman shook his head. "One Direction is the most famous band on the face of the Earth! How do you not recognize a band member when he stands before your eyes?" Mr. Letterman said. I could feel myself blush with embarrassment. "No, don't worry I'm only fibbing," he said giving me nice, un-evil smile. This teacher was totally two-faced!

I got up from my stool to hand the guitar to Neveah, though I didn't want to let go, then I sat down in the seat next to hers. The seats were organized as a chair, with a small desk connected to it, and then there were rows going up behind us. I had never sat in a seat like this, so I was having a hard time being comfortable in it. Neveah smiled and me and showed me a way to sit in it. You rear had to touch the back of the chair so that if you slouched or were sitting straight, the hardness of the chair would not affect your back.

"So I have invited Mr. Malik to teach you all about how it is to be a famous teen singer, since most of you here are under the age of 20," Mr. L said. He talked so professional, but didn't look so professional at all. "Mr. Malik will also be joining us this whole month to find a student worthy enough to write a song with One Direction." Instantly that started a sea of whispers. I looked over at Neveah. She was smiling happily at me. She seemed excited. I kind of felt excited, but since I had never heard a song by One Direction, I didn't know if I really wanted to sing with them. "Settle down class. goodness, it's only the first day," Mr. L said. Zayn let out a little laugh, causing almost all the girls in the class to squeal. I laughed, for two reasons. 1) Because most of the girls looked ridiculous and 2) because Zayn's laugh had a charming effect that made you want to laugh along. "Okay class now take out your notebooks or some paper and take notes about the start of music on page 23 of the class books," Mr. L said. "And maybe after we can have Mr. Malik here tells us a little bit about himself, his job."

We worked silently, but quickly to hear about Zayn's story. I was the last one to finish since I didn't know how to set up my paper until after Neveah helped me. I got a few glares because of it. "So, Mr. Malik, the stage is yours," Mr. L said, then he sat in the empty seat next to me. "Thank you Letterman," Zayn said. "Vas happinen' everybody?" There was a cheer from my classmates. "As you guys may already know," then he looks at me, "or not, I am Zayn, from One Direction." I felt myself sink in my chair, and felt a blush creep onto my face. I felt a bit uncomfortable and wasn't able to listen to him as he told us a little bit about his life, his band life, and all that good stuff.

"Any questions?" Mr. L said after Zayn finished speaking. But then the lunch bell rang and he said, "If you have any questions, Zayn will be here during our next session that is in 2 hours." I stood up and gathered my things until I felt a hand on my arm. I turned to face Neveah, "Wait a bit with me, I want to meet him." I sighed but smiled and nodded. "As long as I could possibly play your guitar again," I said with a little laugh. She smiled and said, "Keep it. I have an electric one being sent to me by my brother tomorrow." I looked at her too see if she was bluffing or not. No, she looked serious. "Thank you," I said a bit astonished. "I'll pay you for it. How much was it?" Neveah just shook her head. "No, take it as a welcome gift. Besides, I got it from my brother's shop for free. Sister discount." I smiled at her, grateful for the gift.

After the class had left, Neveah and I walked up to Mr. L and Zayn. "Oh boy, not Neveah," Mr. L joked. "And her new friend Arian." I crinkled my brows at him. "Arianna," I corrected. "Oh, right right, that's what I said," he said with his little evil smile. "What beautiful names," Zayn said. "Thank you," I said calmly, while Neveah stood there, ready to fangirl. Then she let go of all the questions she had stored inside her. I took a seat on the stool and began to tune and strum my new guitar. It was in mint condition, with sandy orange colored wood, 6 strong strings, and a pick holder. I guess Neveah didn't use a pick since there wasn't one in the holder. Mr. L came over and looked at me. "You know after lunch we play our instruments," he said. I looked at him. "Mr. Letterman, how would I know that?" I said with a smile. He held his hands up and shrugged. "I was just telling you," he said, but then took a seat in the empty desk in front of me. "Play me a song. You like Katy Perry, play me one of her songs." I thought for a moment. I started to strum and get the tune for 'Teenage Dream'. "Good, sing too," he said. I stared over and sang the second time.

I forgot that Neveah and Zayn were there until they started clapping. I looked up at them, blush creeping onto my cheeks. "Who knew I would be friends with someone so talented," Neveah said, faking a tear of happiness. I let out a small giggle. She was funny. "You are really good," Zayn said. "Thanks," I said, and I could have swore he blushed. That made me blush. And then I remembered about the night before. "Oh! Thanks for yesterday night," I said. "I don't know what I would have done if you weren't there to help me back to school." He let out a friendly laugh. "So that's why you look quite familiar. But no worries, you seemed a little lost," he said in a friendly tone. Then it got silent. "How bout we all have lunch together?" Mr. L suggested, trying to break the awkward silence. "Hah! You just don't want to be lonely by yourself!" Neveah laughed at Mr. L. He rolled his eyes at her and Zayn and I both laughed. "I'm up for it if they are," Zayn said. "Sure," Neveah and I said at the same time.

So Neveah and I got some lunch, then headed back to the classroom and ate with our teacher and a singer. Totally normal, right? More like kind of awkward.
