6. The action

The letter read:

Dear Frankie,

By the time you are reading this I will be dead. I know this because I am already dying; I have thrown this letter into the post box below the window. I have sent this letter as the third clue. I fear that I have sent her into great danger, and you must help her! Quickly, leave now and help her.

Yours sincerely, Elisa.

 Frankie ran out of the door and into his car, he ignored all the questions from the neighbours, even the polite ones that weren’t very nosy at all, like ‘How are you today Frankie, lovely weather isn’t it?’ Five hours later he got to Maggie’s house. He took a deep breath and started to bang on the door, and it was eventually opened to an older woman.

“Where is she?”

“I’m sorry I don’t know you! Bye now!”

The door shut and he heard a gunshot from above. Inside, Maggie smiled.

Poor Frankie, he thought he could make everything alright for Emily Wilde, but there was no Emily Wilde anymore…
