8. Under a Spell

"Damn, girl," Harry muttered.  "How you pack so much strength in that sexy little body is beyond me..."  He shook his head and swept one part to the side.

I felt my face heat with embarrassment.  "Sorry," I murmured, not knowing what else to say.

He locked his green orbs on mine, holding my gaze for a second too long as he stepped closer.  He was close enough that I could feel the heat of his body.

"Are we going to get out of here, or not?"  I asked breathily, distracted by his close proximity.

With a silent dip of his head, he slipped his larger hand into mine.  It was soft and warm.  Hell, he probably moisturized his hands daily.  "Follow my lead," he breathed into my ear, his deep accent causing my body to shiver.

He just flashed his dimples at me knowingly and strode off towards the exit of the hospital.  My room was luckily on the first floor, so we didn't have to worry about running into anyone on the elevator.  Unfortunately, we still had to get past the lady at the front desk.

The old, angry looking woman sitting at the front desk appeared to be looking for an excuse to get someone in trouble.  She glanced from side to side, like a wild cat, just waiting for prey to pounce on.

Harry tightened his grip on my hand, forcing me to keep up as he walked over to the desk.  "Hello, ma'am," he purred in his rich British accent.

She blinked her cold, pale eyes in surprise.  Oh, goodness. This old woman had fallen under Harry Styles' charm.  "H-h-how..." She cleared her throat. "How can I help you?" It was discusting to watch this lady bat her short eyelasses and throw her thin grey hair over one shoulder.

"I just wanted to let you know that I am taking my sister, Aspyn, out for lunch," he told her kindly, resting a hand on her desk and leaning forward.  I kind of felt annoyed that he called me his sister.  We looked nothing alike.  Me, with my blonde hair and grey eyes, and him, with his brown hair and green eyes.

"Ofcourse," she giggled. "What's her last name?" It was like he had put her under some kind of spell...

"Greenblatt," he answered without hesitation. "Aspyn Rose Greenblatt."  I blinked up at him in shock. I knew my full name was on all of my hospital records, and weren't hard to look up, but I was surprised that he had taken the name to remember it.

"That's an interesting name," she murmured as she gazed up at him adoringly.  Shaking her head to clear her thoughts she looked down at her desk and wrote my name down on a sign-out sheet. "Have fun!" she told Harry, only having eyes for him.

"That was easy," he murmured into my ear as he led me out the sliding doors of the hospital.

I let out a sigh of relief as I exited the place I came to know as my jail cell.  It felt amazing to leave behind the feelings of sickness, death, pain, and sorrow.  I felt guilty that so many people like me had to stay in there.

"Where are we heading?" I asked Harry as we walked down the street.  I glanced down at my hand, realizing that he was still holding it.  I tried to slip it out of his grasp, but he tightened his grip.

He flashed me a crooked smile. "Wherever I want to go," he rumbled in his deep voice, bringing my hand up and kissing it softly.

I sucked in a sharp breath and he smirked at me.  He knew the affect he had on me.

Damn, I told myself. I can't wait until this guy leaves.

"We're going to Churchill Downs racetrack," he told me, glancing down at my legs.  "I have to show off those legs somewhere, do I not?" he flirted.

I immediately felt heat rise to my face at his words, but I forced myself to stay focused.
