She has searched for so long but the realisation has just become clear - the person who killed her dad, was trying to kill her instead...

Alice is out to get revenge, in a story of twists, emotion and bitterness, will she survive to tell the tale?

4. 4.

He said nothing, he just walked away.

I didn’t follow; I stood there and watched him go. Once he disappeared out of sight, I started to run. My house was 2 minutes away by walking, but I needed my mum. See, during the disaster my mother was working, no-one knew if she was dead or alive. She never knew my father was dead, until she was told by military forces a week after he did. She found out about me that day as well, I had been saved by forces and taken to a camp where everyone who had no home or family were kept and looked after. For 3 whole months I had no friends, I lived solitary. Now though, I was ready.

I crashed through the door of my house, and fell into my mothers arms immediately.

“What’s happened?!” her voice said in surprise.

“It’s Maisie, she’s dead.” I sobbed.

“Wait? How?”

Somehow my mother kept calm.

“We became caught up in an explosion, it was them Mum.”

“Who’s them?”

“The people who killed Dad. They’re back. They’re back to finally complete what they wanted to do in the first place.”

My mother just stared at me, puzzled.

“They’re back to kill me.”
