Just My Luck

One mistake changed everything, but I guess that was just my luck. I was being my normal clumsy and forgetful self but I guess it was meant to be that way. What if, no I don't even want say what if I hadn't because then I would have never met my love, Harry. I was just an average student with luck, lots of it, when my life changed forever. It must have been fate that brought us together and I am forever grateful for my one little mistake. Even though I told myself I would never let myself fall in love again after what happened last time but I couldn't help myself, I hope it wasn't a mistake.

7. Chapter 7

We arrived at Nando's at around 18:30, we sat at a big round table and Paul stood outside by the entrance to make sure things didn't get out of hand. A couple of girls who were already in the restaurant asked for autographs  and I volunteered to take pictures. Some of the girls asked who I was, I said I was just a friend.

I flipped through the menu and had no idea what to order. I decided it would be best to ask Niall what was best, knowing how much he loved Nando's.
"Niall, what is the best thing here to eat?" I asked.

Niall looked over and then glanced back at the menu. "I, gosh, that is a hard question. Uhm, I'm gonna have to say, this is too hard..." Niall trailed off.

"Nat, you should try the 'Flamed Grilled Butterfly Chicken Breast' I swear it's brilliant," Harry explained.    "Okay, thanks for the advice Harry."

The waitress walked over and asked us what we wanted to drink and since we already knew what we wanted to eat she took that order too.

"So Harry are you going to tell me what we are going to be doing tonight," I asked.

"Nope, it's a secret," He smiled and then kissed me on cheek. My cheeks immediately turned bright red.

"Okay then," I sighed. I never liked secrets or surprises, I was on of those people that liked to have everything planned out but I wasn't going to let this bother me.

The waitress brought us our drinks. Then they all asked about America and I answered enough questions that they could have written a book on me.

The waitress then brought us our food about half an hour later, it looked and smelt delicious. We all dug in and I discovered that I officially loved Nando's.

"This is amazing guys, thanks for letting me come."

"Don't thank us, thank Curly, he refused to come without you," Louis replied. Harry blushed at Lou's comment.    After about 20 minutes we were all done. No one had room for dessert except Niall but he said he could just eat something at home.

Harry volunteered to pay, I felt bad but realized I didn't have enough money to cover the bill. I thanked them again for the delicious dinner. We all got back into the van that would drive us back to the studio so they could all get their cars.

The van drove off and everyone seemed to sit quietly for about three seconds until they all started talking as you would expect five best friends to do. I tried to stay involved in the conversation but I had just met all of them and could barely keep up.

Before I knew it we were back at the studio, all of the fans had left and it was much calmer outside. We all exchanged goodbyes and then me and Harry left.

"Where are we going?" I asked again.

"Just some sight seeing."

"Alright" I answered satisfied with little information I had been given.   We drove for about fifteen minutes until Harry stopped the car and opened the door for me. I hopped out of the car and we started walking. He slowly made his way for my hand and held it tight once he got there.    We had only made it about a block when a couple of paparazzi found us. There camera flash blinked blindingly and I was completely shocked.

"Follow me!" Harry tugged at my hand, and I ran with him. He spun around and we started our way back to the car. The paparazzi kept following and were asking who I was but Harry didn't answer. We both got back in the car and started driving again. The paps caught a couple of pictures of me and Harry in the car which reminded me of all of the other girls who had sat in my seat. I tried to brush it off, I didn't want his past to get to me.

"Do you have to do this all the time?" I asked.

"No, but I have to do it often enough. We are going to Niall's house, cause his is the closest."   "Okay, that's fine Harry,"

"No, no it isn't. This has got to be the worst first date in the history of dates," Harry admitted.

"Harry, if you haven't noticed I am having fun, so we don't get to go sight seeing, I still get to spend time with you."

He took his eyes off the road for a few seconds and smiled at me, and of course I smiled back.

"We'll just go to Niall's for a little bit until they were gone, we are almost there," Harry informed.

We drove for about two minutes and then Harry stopped the car in front of what must have been Niall's house. We got out of the car and walked up Niall's steps.

"Niall! Niall open the door, it's Harry!" He kept pounding on the door until Niall opened it. He looked confused about why me and Harry were on his front steps

"I was just doing a twitcam and then I hear you pounding on the door," Niall said.

"Sorry about that, Niall. It was just the paparazzi were following us and your house was the closest," I apologized.

"It's okay let me just get my laptop and so I can tell the viewers it was just you guys." Niall said as ran up the stairs.

"Do you want some water?" Harry asked as he got up and started walking towards the kitchen.

"Sure, thanks Harry," He walked towards the kitchen and opened the fridge and pulled out two water bottles. He came back into the living room and throw me one of the bottles and he sat back on the couch. Niall came back down the stairs with his laptop opened in his arms.

"See guys it was just Harry and Nat," Niall spun his laptop around so the viewers could see us. Me and Harry both waved back at the camera. Niall spun the laptop around back at him. He continued to walk towards us and then put the laptop on the table. He sat on the couch and looked at the feed on the side of the video.

"So you all want to know who Natalie is, I guess I will let her answer that question." Niall waved his hand at me. I got up and walked to Niall and sat down in front of the camera.

"Hey guys, I'm Natalie. What else do you guys want to know?" I asked, the feed erupted in questions. I was shocked by how many people actually cared about me. Unsurprisingly most of the questions asked if me and Harry were dating.

"So most of you guys asked if me and Harry were dating, the answer is no, we are just friends. Uhm, I think I am  going to let Niall back on so, bye!" I ended.

"I am so sorry about this," He apologized again as I sat next to him on the couch.
"Harry, it's okay, tonight was fun." I smiled at him and he smiled back.

After about five minutes we left Niall's home. He was still doing his twitcam as we left but managed to say goodbye. We got back into Harry's car for hopefully the last time tonight and he drove us back to his house.

"We are here, Nat," Harry said. He got out of the car and opened my door. I slid out of the car and then it started pouring rain out of no where.  We ran up Harry's driveway and into the house but we both managed to get drenched.

"Wow, can this get any worse?" Harry joked.

"Harry, please calm down. Tonight has got to be one do the best nights out of all my time in Britain."

"Let me get you something to change into. I will be right back, love." Harry went up the stairs and left me standing in the living room. My phone buzzed again, I took it out to find my dad had texted me. I quickly texted him back not mentioning Harry because he would think I was lying about one of the world's biggest stars actually liking me. Harry came back down stairs with a pair of flannel pants and a sweatshirt.

"This is the smallest stuff I have, sorry."

"Harry, it's fine."

"You can change in the bathroom, just go to the kitchen and make a left. It's right there," Harry instructed.

"Thanks," I said as I made my way to the bathroom. I passed through the kitchen to find that the bathroom was right where he said it was.  I walked in and shut the door. I quickly changed and put my wet clothes in my bag. Harry's pants were a little big on my but I just rolled them and the sweatshirt was just a little loose. I looked in the mirror to find my hair was all messed up from the rain. I unbraided it and put it in a sloppy bun. I came out of the bathroom and walked back towards the living room.    Harry was sitting on the couch dressed in a similar attire to me.

"So what are we going to do?" I asked.

"Maybe watch a movie. Is Bambi okay?" He replied.

"That's fine, I haven't seen that movie in awhile."

"Great."   He got up and put the disc into the player and took the remote off of the table. A thought ran through my head, in an old interview I had seen a while ago, Harry said that he watched Bambi on the first date because it makes the girl cry and get emotional. Oh god, I couldn't believe that he was actually going to do that, but I had to go along with it pretend I had no idea why he wanted to watch Bambi.

"You ready, can I start the movie?" Harry asked.

"Yep," I said trying to hide the smirk on my face.

He sat next to me and put his arm around me. I rested my head on his shoulders and suddenly realized how tired I was. Today had been a long day, and I was exhausted. The movie started but I didn't really care. I closed my eyes and started to drift asleep.
