(One Direction Fanfiction) ::HIATUS, I am possibly starting another fanfic and need a new plot for this one since i scrapped the old.::

8. "This Might Be Your Last Chance"

“Knock, knock,” Harry said smiling as he walked into Sienna's room. Sienna turned over and faintly smiled back. “So, what's wrong?” Harry asked, peering at her eyes, swollen from tears.

“My dad, he just... Came... And now I have a little sister – step-sister – and it's just so much. I can't take it Haz.” She said, her voice cracking and her eyes brimming with tears again. Harry pulled her into a hug as he sat down, letting her rant.

She eventually finished, her cheeks shiny from wetness. “How could he do this?” Sienna finished, before burying herself in Harry's shoulder, letting tears escape. “Just... give it a try, Si. I know it's hard taking it all in. I know it feels like betrayal, but it's been 12 years... He was bound to find someone else... I don't mean to be harsh but it's the truth. Give it a try, and see how it all ends out... It might be your last chance to have him in your life again, don't let that chance get away.” Harry soothed.

Sienna thought about it as he held her in his arms. She sighed, he always knew what to say. She knew she shouldn't have reacted so brashly. And the little girl, Kailey... Sienna felt bad thinking about how the girl must've felt.

Sienna pulled away, wiping a tear with her wrist. “You always know what to say, I hate you for that,” she said with a tint of humour. “Hey, shouldn't you love that?!” Harry pouted. “No,” she giggled.

Harry crossed his arms and turned away, pointing his nose up snobbily. “Fine, next time I won't give you advice,” He said. “Ok.” Sienna replied simply. Harry looked at her, “You're supposed to go, no no, Harry please, you have to give me advice, you're the best!”

Sienna laughed as he imitated her as best he could. Quickly, he brought up another topic, “Oh, and you're going to have to pay for my hours, Shirley wasn't happy to fill in for me.” Sienna rolled her eyes, “Whatever,” she said.

“What was your excuse for leaving anyways?” Sienna asked. Harry put his concentrated face on, making Sienna smile because it was so cute. “Um, I said that my mum needed me for something... He let me off easy today, must've been a really good morning for him.” Harry said. “Oh, okay,” Sienna said.

Sienna was surprised how quickly the mood changed, but that always happened when Harry was around. She should be used to it. “BRB!” Harry said in a girly voice as he pranced out the room. Sienna cackled and picked up her phone.

She texted Annie, apologizing for everything that happened. It must've been so awkward for her. They were able to have a short conversation before Harry burst in the door.

He spread out like a star, yelling “TA-DAA!” Sienna jumped, before laughing. He shook his hands, his mouth wide open in a grin.

“Did you like my entrance?” Harry asked, raising an eyebrow and smiling. “Oh yes, I loved it.” Sienna said sarcastically, her teeth showing gladly.

They talked and laughed a little while on, before Harry announced he had to go.

Sienna propped herself up, and walked down to the door with him.

“Bye-bye Si,” Harry said making a baby face at her. Sienna returned the look, saying “Bye-bye HarHar.” He laughed. “You sound like a pirate!” Sienna shrugged his shoulders, and waved out her front door as Harry stepped into his house.”

Sienna closed the door, pressing her back to it. She sighed. She knew what she had to do now. But how would she contact her dad?

Sienna walked into the kitchen, seeing her Mum over the stove. She took a quick glance her thigh, she had to take off the bandage tonight... And then, conveniently enough, a phone number was on the table.

Maddie looked over her shoulder at Sienna. “Your dad's number.” She said glumly. “Okay.” Sienna said.

She picked up the note with the number on it, and sat on the couch in the living room. Her phone stayed idle for a while, as she just stared at the note. Finally, Sienna took a deep breath and punched the number in.

It rang a few times, before she heard her dad's friendly voice. “Hello?” “Hi Dad...” Sienna said shyly. “Hey, Sienna.” He said happily. “Um... Sorry about earlier...” Sienna replied quietly. “Don't worry about it... It was my fault, I shouldn't have brought it up on you so quick.” Sienna stayed quiet.

“So, would you like to come to lunch with me and my family?” He asked. Sienna cringed when he said family. She thought her and her Mum were his family... But she knew she had to clear it up, like Harry said, it might be her last chance.

“Sure...” She replied hesitatingly. “You don't have to y'know, I mean, if you don't want to..” Allan said hastily. “Um, no... It's fine.” Sienna said.

Sienna couldn't see it, but Allan had the biggest grin on his face. “Great! How about tomorrow at 2? We'll go to a restaurant,” He told her. “Sure. See you then, Dad.” “See you, Si.” Allan said pleasantly before Sienna hung up.

“So,” her Mum called from the kitchen. “I'm going out for lunch tomorrow.” Sienna called back. “Oh, alright.” Maddie said simply. Sienna nodded and stood up.

She decided she would go remove her bandages. Up the stairs she went, and stepped into the bathroom. She took a quick look in the mirror. Her brown hair was down natural, and a little bit frizzy. And her eyes were tired from all the crying. Other than that, she looked normal.

Sienna slid her pants off, and looked at the greyish bandages. Slowly, she peeled a layer off. Then the next, and the last one. Under the bandages was an ugly pink scar from where she was cut. It was about 3 inches long, and it didn't look very nice.

Sienna grimaced about it, she'd have to go next summer wearing shorts with that thing. Just another reminder of a bad incident. She'd been getting a lot of those lately.

Sienna slid her finger along the scar. It felt oddly smooth but a bit rough around the edges. After a minute, she picked up her pants and stuck her right leg through. Then her left. She threw the bandages out and went back downstairs.

Flicking through the channels she laid her head back on the cushions of the couch and said “Is dinner ready yet?” “No, soon.” Her mum told her. “Kay.”

Dinner was finally done, Maddie and Sienna ate dinner in silence. Sienna took her last mouthful of pasta and placed her plate in the sink. She swallowed and went back upstairs.

Tonight was shower night for her, so she undressed and stepped in the shower. She turned the water on, letting it trickle down her back. She shampooed, conditioned, soaped and brushed her teeth.

She finished and stepped out, wrapping a fleecy towel around her body. Her clothes went in the laundry basket, and Sienna headed to her bedroom. She pulled a nightshirt on, and some pyjama pants.

A quick thought about her phone came by, but she didn't know where it was in her room. So, she ignored it.

Sienna slid into her bed, pulling the covers up to her chin. She closed her eyes and thought. Thought about Harry, Annie, her dad... Lunch tomorrow, all sorts of things. She hoped Harry was right about this and that everything would be okay. Finally, she caved in and let her dreams take over.
