Sienna waved bye to Annie, as she started to head down the street to walk home. Today, she walked alone. Harry was caught up in talking about the new girl, Eleanor with Louis. Sienna had spoke to Lou a few times, but they weren't really close.

Anyways, Sienna continued to walk, and stuck her tongue out at Annie who drove by. It was getting a little chilly out, and Sienna thought of how stupid she was not to bring a light coat.

Her books were tightly held against her chest, as her feet stepped one in front of the other quickly. She kept her head down, passing by loads of other students leaving. It made her so anxious sometimes. Sienna hated large crowds.

The whole way home, Sienna thought about what Annie had told her earlier. Si, he'll have to find out sooner or later. Si, he'll have to find out sooner or later. It just repeated over and over in her head. And she knew she couldn't harbour this secret

forever. Harry had to know sometime, right?

Sienna decided to take a shorter way home, since she was already shivering a bit.

If her and Annie were going to go to Applebee's, it would be better for her to be prepared. She didn't want to have to wait in the freezing cold to be picked up.

As she complained to herself about how stupid it was she hadn't got her license yet, someone shoved her into the wall. Her books and papers flew to the ground. “Well, well, well. What do we have here?” A familiar voice said. Sienna looked up to see who the owner to the voice was.

Carter Blain. Oh my god. Sienna couldn't think properly. This did not look like the boy who got expelled from harassing her 3 years ago. Harassing in a dirty way. His formerly blonde hair was now dark. And his skin was olive, instead of a pasty white.

Sienna turned on her heel to run, forgetting about her books. But it only resulted into being shoved into the wall again. Her head hit the bricks, making her grunt in pain. She squeezed her eyes and pulled her lips back.

“Oh no, you don't,” Carter said. “You're not going anywhere.” He snarled. Sienna opened her eyes and looked him straight in the eye. “What makes you think that?” She said attempting to knee him where it would hurt.

“The fact I'm the one with the advantage here.” He replied, again, snarly. Sienna thrashed about, trying to call for help. That only got her his forearm pushed into her throat. She wheezed, stopping her attempts to escape.

Gasping for breath, he placed his hand on her waist. He slid it up a bit, making it too close to her boob to be comfortable. “Stop it, you pervert!” Sienna got out with her voice being raspy. She threw her head forward, butting him in the head.

He stepped back in pain, and rubbed his forehead. Sienna gathered a breath and began to run. Before she even got far, another hand grabbed her wrist and launched her back. She landed on her tailbone, and damn, it hurt. “You're gonna pay for that.” Carter sneered.

He picked her up off the ground and threw her at the wall. He grabbed the collar of her shirt and pulled his fist back. Sienna closed her eyes, and turned her head, bracing for the blow that was about to go to her face.

She only started to feel the wetness around her eyes when she heard a crack. She felt the grip release her shirt, and she waited for the pain to come. It didn't. Sienna opened her eyes, only to see Carter lying on the ground, and Harry standing over him.

“Don't touch her!” He yelled. A muscly built guy, the one that grabbed Sienna when she tried to escape, came towards Harry. He threw a fist, aiming for Harry's face. It missed when Harry ducked, came back up and punched him right in the jaw.

Harry then kneed the boy where it would hurt, then grabbed his head and hit it off his knee. The boy flew back, lying on the ground groaning in pain. Carter's face was shocked, but still tense.

When Harry stepped forward to throw another one at Carter, he hesitated and stopped. “What were you doing to her?” Harry asked, demanding and stern. Carter wiped a bit of blood dripping out from his nose. “Only here to talk... do some... unfinished business.” He replied, being a smart ass.

“You're not going to touch her again. You hear me? Or I will personally find you, and I will hurt you so bad you won't even be able to feel properly.” Harry threatened. Carter cackled, standing up. He took a glance at Sienna. Sienna didn't notice, her jaw was left hanging, her eyes wide. She couldn't process what had happened.

Harry still stood in front of her protectively, glaring at Carter. “See you later, hun,” were his last words before he left down the alley, still cackling. As soon as he left, Harry turned to her. He worriedly looked at her, asking “Si, Sienna are you okay?” “Yeah, I-I'm fine... I think.” she stuttered, still stunned.

They walked into each others arms automatically. Sienna rested her head on his shoulder as he held her. “He didn't do anything to you, did he?” Harry asked, still concerned. “N-no. He only... touched me... Then you came al-along.” Sienna answered.

“Good. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you.” He said, calming down. In that moment, Sienna knew she had to tell Harry. Her heart was popping, she loved him more than anything. She realized how important he was, and she needed to tell him how she felt. “Harry... um, I--” Sienna began before Harry cut her off.

“Si! You're bleeding!” He panicked. Sienna looked down and noticed the gash on her thigh. She blinked a few times quickly, and just stared at the blood soaked spot. How the hell did she get that? She looked at the ground where the boy had thrown her down. He was gone, but there was a bloody beer bottle close to where he used to be.

Sienna pointed at it, knowing she had fallen on it. She hadn't even felt it. Harry picked her up bridal style, “We need to get you home,” he said. “Y-yeah.” Sienna replied. He quickly walked down the rest of the alley. Leaving all Sienna's books behind.

Sienna rested her head against his collarbone, closing her eyes as they neared her house. “Jesus, Si... What were you thinking going through that alley,” he muttered, breathlessly. Sienna didn't bother to reply. Her thigh was now searing with pain. She opened her eyes slightly, watching his curls bounce to a stop. He laid her down on the small bench in front of the window.

He started to bang on the door. Sienna's mum quickly answered. “Maddie, call the ambulance, Sienna's hurt.” He said, trying to be calm. “What?!” She answered, shocked. “Her thigh, it's cut and it's bleeding badly.” Sienna's mum rushed into the house, calling the ambulance.

Harry came back out and crouched beside Sienna. He lightly rested his palm on her shoulder. “Don't worry we're getting help.” He said, with a ghost of a smile. Sienna nodded and stared up at the canopy over the bench. Maddie came out, throwing Harry a dish cloth. “Keep the pressure on the cut until they get here,” she said. Quickly she shuffled inside to do who knows what.

Harry pressed against Sienna's cut, slowing the bleeding. It was silent for a few minutes, before the faint sound of ambulance sirens came. Soon, the paramedics arrived, checking out Sienna's cut and treating it. She had gone a little pale in the process, earning her a sickly tasting medication to get the blood pumping back.

About twenty five minutes later, the paramedics were done. “It was nothing too serious. Wasn't too deep either. We dressed it, and it should heal in about 5 days. She shouldn't put a lot of weight on it for at least 3 days though.” The male paramedic told Sienna's mum. Maddie nodded, her arms crossed, looking at the cement.

When the paramedics left, Maddie turned to Harry. “Thanks for the help Harry. I don't know what would've happened if you weren't around. You can go home now, I'll handle her from here.” She told him, smiling weakly. He nodded, wishing Sienna good luck, and leaving for his front door.

Sienna was helped up to her room, where she flopped down on the bed. “Want anything?” Her mother asked. “No.” Sienna replied, closing her eyes. She heard her mum go downstairs, starting to watch her favourite TV show.

Just as Sienna was about to fall into the depths of her dreams, her phone buzzed. She forgot she left it home today. Si! Why aren't you answering me?!?!?! she read. It quickly buzzed: From – Annie afterwards. Sienna typed in Sorry, something happened and I got hurt. I won't be able to go to Applebee's today, or for at least another 3. I just need to sleep it off right now. Later alligator. She pressed the send button, quickly setting it to silence so she could fall asleep.

She threw her phone onto the soft carpet, and looked at her alarm clock. 5:23pm. Sienna didn't know that whole event took almost two hours. She passed that by, and thought about how Harry had shown up and what happened. She sighed. She loved him so much, and she missed probably the only opportunity to tell him how she felt. Well, the only recent opportunity.

Again, she sighed, knowing she'd have to wait to tell him. She had missed her chance. All because of that stupid cut. She shook her head and fell into her dreams.

* * *

Sienna awoke surrounded by darkness. She looked over to her alarm clock again. 2:43am, it glowed. Sienna could feel the sweat on her back as she rolled over. She looked down, seeing the bloody bandages on her thigh. She closed her eyes and rested for a quick second before throwing her legs over the side of the bed.

As she stood up, she winced from the pain shooting to her thigh. She immediately sat down. Right, I can't put weight on it, this is gonna be just great, she thought. She hobbled over to her dresser, and pulled her pyjama drawer open. She quickly looked through before decided on a fuzzy warm pair with Winnie the Pooh designs.

She wobbled back over to her bed, and sat. She undid her jeans and inched them off, careful about her cut. Sienna replaced them with the fuzzy pyjama pants. She arched her back, stretching. She remembered how she was still in her cardigan and chiffon, so she hobbled back over, and replaced them with a light tank top.

Sienna didn't even care that her clothes were left lying around, not even the bloody jeans. She just laid down, her face in her pillow. Then she thought. Honestly, she didn't expect to see Carter ever again. How he had harassed her in Grade 9 got him expelled. Then his parents sent him away to another state, to an all boys school... How the hell did he get back to Holmes Chapel?

And how did Harry get there at just the right moment? Sienna thought he was with Louis... How she ached for Harry to be with her right now though. She just wanted him to be there, beside her. Cuddling and stroking her hair. She rolled over to see her phone on the ground.

She reached out and grabbed it, tapping the screen and having it flash to life. Sienna squinted as it brightly shone, with the little message sign shown up with the number 3 beside it. 2 from Annie... and 1 from Harry... Her heart skipped a beat as she saw Harry's name. Rapidly, she opened the message and read it...

Si, I'm really sorry for not walking with you today... If I hadn't stayed back with Lou, none of that would've happened. It's my fault. My fault for letting you walk home alone. If I had been with you, you wouldn't of got that cut... You'd be fine. Carter wouldn't of laid a hand on you, if I had only been there. I'm so sorry, I promise I'll never let anyone hurt you again... I'm sorry. Sent at 9:16pm.

Tears steadily flowed down her soft cheeks. That made Sienna want him to be there even more. She started shivering slightly. All she wanted was for Harry to be with her right then, so she could just hug him and tell him it wasn't his fault. If only I hadn't been so stupid and gone down that alley, she thought.

She typed in a quick message to Harry, telling him none of it was his fault. Only hers, and that if she had of sucked it up and not cut through the alley everything would be fine. She hovered her thumb over the send button, but only left it as a draft remembering it was only 3 o'clock in the morning.

She shakily sighed, wiping away the salty tears. She read Annie's texts, replied, and saved those as drafts too. Sienna slowly laid back down, and pulled the covers up to her chin. She sleepily closed her eyes, and drifted off into her dreams.
