21. Now it all makes Sense (pt 4)

His arms went around my waist, “Madison…”

“Christian it’s okay.” I whispered, taking a deep breathe.
I wrapped my arms around his neck. Staring deep into his eyes, mesmerized when they turned instantly from brown to blue. Christian's hands glided over my back, breaking me from the trance, up from my shoulders then he moved them delicately down to my lower back. My body was on fire and gravitated towards Christian, curving as it pressed up against him. My breathing quickened as anticipation rose within me. As I leaned in closer to him, he closed his eyes. I closed mine too. My lips touched his, his lips were softer than I’d expected. His scent took over my body as his fingertips caressed my back. I opened my mouth more exploring his tongue with mine. Our tongues twisted around each other familiar, as if I’ve kissed him a thousand times. The kiss began soft and gentle until I lost control. I crushed his lips with mine, blood rushed to my lips and face.

My hands tangled in his hair, then moved to his face, holding it in place. My body reacted, twisting around him, desperately clinging on. I never wanted to let go. I moaned softly, parting my lips and breathing into him. Everything smelled amazing, it was as if I were flying on a cloud. I pressed my body into him again as if I were trying to melt into him. I moaned once more, craving more of him. He immediately disengaged from our embrace, unhooking my hands from his face. He tore his mouth away from mine.

“Madison.” He gritted through his teeth, grabbing my hands into his. My heart raced, I tried to calm myself down. At last, my breathing, and heart beat went back to normal. What the hell happened? Did my breathe stink? Maybe I was a bad kisser, I felt embarrassed. I’ve said it before but damn these pent up teenage hormones! Christian continued to hold me in a death locked grip, his eyes blazed a fiery blue. He definitely was trying to regain his control. I tried to move off of him, and give him some space to calm down.

“Madison, please don’t move.” He pleaded, his voice strained.
I did what he said, remaining motionless, feeling humiliated. Christian closed his eyes, evidently concentrating. After three minutes his eyes popped open, once again chocolate brown, and released me. I crawled back up to the head of the bed and leaned against the bed board.

“I don‘t know what came over me.” I said humiliated.

“I'm sorry, it’s hard for me, I thought I could handle it but it was too much. When your heart sped up pumping all that blood everywhere, it tempted me too much. Your scent, warmth, beauty beaconed not only my vampire side but my human side as well. This is the first time I’ve been intimate with anyone, much less a human girl in almost a century. We only started dating let‘s take it slow.” He said.

"You're right. If it helps I’m new at this whole physical thing, I don’t have much experience with kissing or anything else. I’ve never kissed anyone before like that, not with tongue.” I confessed.

“Oh, you could’ve fooled me by the way you attacked me.” He joked.

“Hey! I can’t help if it my hormones are raging out of control!”

“Next time let’s take it slow. I would never forgive myself if I lost control and accidentally hurt you. You’re fragile, at least to me.” He said.

“Okay I promise. Well next time don’t make sexy eyes at me. You have to control your seductive dazzling powers on me.” I teased. He grinned.

“This question is personal but have you…” I hesitated. I didn’t want to know the real answer but it was something I had to know. I continued, “You know…before?” I trailed off.

He smiled sadly, “Not when I was human but I have with my ex-girlfriend when I first became a vampire. I wish I would’ve waited until I fell in love.”

I expected his answer to be yes. But a part of me hoped that he hadn’t. A wave of jealousy swept over me.

“Do you think we’ll ever…” I trailed off.

“No…it’s not that I don’t want to because you’re beautiful and I love you, I am still a man but it’s a risk I will not take. I’ve heard stories of vampires and human familiars, those stories ended with the humans dying due to injuries or being murdered. I’m not as strong as I appear.” The words hurt me more that I expected.

“What about if we get married?” I blurted out.

He stared at me, silent for a moment then smiled at me. “I guess we can figure that out when we get to that point. Right now we have present matters to attend to. For instance, my mother is going to come into the room in five minutes to bring you your clothes. She really wants to meet you.”

I smiled back. Even though he changed the subject, I promised myself silently I wouldn’t let him get away so easily.
