1. BOARDING SCHOOL SECRETS BY EM.EM.GENESIS.

Chapter 1 - Hanny Bieler Hanny Bieler is a stunningly beautiful girl.  She has the most beautiful skin tone, big brown eyes and high cheek bones.  She was born at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, West London to a very wealthy couple.  Her good genes were as a result of her Bi-racial origin from a White Austrian father and a Black British mother, Hanny turned heads everywhere she went even as a child.  Her father was a wealthy Banker and her mother a top journalist and reporter with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and she travelled quite frequently reporting on news from around the world. The family lived in an affluent neighborhood in Hampstead where property prices are in the millions of pounds sterling.  They had a Nanny, a Chauffer and a housekeeper and Hanny wanted for nothing materially. What she wanted most was for her parents to be at home with her and take care of her like other parents too. But all wasn’t too bad, Hanny had Nanny Pamela who was like a mother to her and treated her like a daughter.  Nanny Pamela was the one who showed her love, she took her places, read her bedtime stories and played with her. Hanny didn’t have many friends her age except for one friend, Angela who lived a couple of houses away in her neighborhood.  Angela was two years older than Hanny and her parents were Germans. Her father is a GP (General Practitioner) and her mother owned an Estate Agency.  Hanny enjoyed spending time with her only friend whenever Angela’s mother brought her to play. They played with their dolls and spoke German and had fits of giggles about silly things. They were just typical little girls. Hanny really liked having Angela around.  Her only other friend was Nanny Pamela and Daddy’s Chauffer was always nice to Hanny too. Her parents didn’t have many family members around that much. Her father’s family all lived in Austria and hardly visited and her mother grew up in several foster homes so she didn’t have any family members except for her adopted Sister, Shelly.   Stefan and Karina Bieler were too busy working, making money and interacting with their friends to worry about their little girl.  However, when they were home, they showed intense love to Hanny maybe out of guilt but they loved their little girl.  Hanny loved having her parents around and enjoyed it when Daddy tickled her. One evening, her parents were in their bedroom yelling at each other as they sometimes did, Hanny heard her father slammed the front door, got in the car and drove off.  Her bedroom was across from her parent’s room. Nanny Pamela was in the room with her trying to read her a bedtime story. She moved closer to her and hugged her tightly. She looked sad. “Why are you sad Nanny”?  “Hanny asked”! Nanny Pamela simply shrugged her shoulders and said she was okay.  She kissed Hanny on the forehead, turned the lights off and shut the door behind her. Hanny couldn’t go to sleep. She kept wondering if her mother was alright and where her father went. She got up and tiptoed out of her bedroom. She went to her parent’s door and listened to hear if her mother was in the room. She opened the door slowly and saw her mother lying on the bed. She turned around when Hanny moved closer to her. She held out her hand and Hanny jumped into the bed next to her mother and lied down close to her. “Are you okay Mummy, she asked”? Her mother responded that she was okay. “Where did Daddy go, Hanny asked”?  Her mother didn’t say anything at first. Hanny asked her mother again! Karina didn’t know where her husband went but lied to her daughter that Daddy had to go finish some work in the office. Hanny was still asleep in her parent’s bed next to her mother when her father walked into the bedroom.  He came over and kissed Hanny on the head and she woke up. He lifted her up and hugged her and then went over to his wife and held his wife’s hand.  They had news to share with their daughter. Stefan was being transferred to Germany for a few years and Karina had some traveling to do for her job so Hanny would be going to a Boarding School. When Hanny was six years old, her parents sent her to one of the most esteemed and prestigious boarding schools in Cambridge.  Cambridge is known around the world for being a University town which houses Cambridge University, one of the very top Universities in the World.  They felt sure that Hanny would be fine.  She would receive an excellent education, independence and discipline. They had checked out a few schools and this particular school came highly recommended.  Nanny Pamela would go and visit her once a month and during holidays, she would fly down to Germany with Hanny. At this school, Hanny would learn how to be disciplined, receive guidance and an outstanding education. It was only going to be for a few years and besides, she would be visiting her parents during holidays.  They had everything planned out. When her parents told her that she was going to a Boarding School, Hanny cried and cried. She didn’t want to be sent away. She was a good girl and wanted to stay home with Nanny Pamela and play with her one friend, Angela. She begged her parents not to send her away.  Her mother held her held her tight raining tiny kisses on her forehead. The kisses won’t make Hanny’s heart stop hurting. “Why don’t Mummy and Daddy like to be around her”?  Hanny asked her Nanny Pamela. Nanny Pamela held her hand and told her that her parents loved her but they had to work so she could have a house to live in. Nanny Pamela had worked for the Bielers since Hanny was born. She’s a delightful child. Nanny couldn’t understand why the Bielers would want to send Hanny to a boarding school at such a young age.  Being taken from your home, family and familiar territory to a place utterly strange can be a traumatic experience for a girl like Hanny.  With no comfort of home, watchful eyes of Nanny Pamela and the Bielers, Hanny would be on her own with no family at Boarding School and be forced to fend for herself.  She would have to be independent and tough. Nanny Pamela is familiar with kids who grew up in boarding schools. Nanny Pamela had helped raise many kids of wealthy parents and many times, these kids felt like their parents abandoned them and they didn’t forgive their parents for abandoning them or they turned to outside, sometimes negative influence to cope with life. Hanny is a special child - a beautiful child.  Nanny had known kids as young as three years old who were sent to boarding school but Hanny was different. She and Hanny were very close. Maybe the Bielers were having financial issues because they had just let go of the housekeeper and gardener.  Nanny Pamela would now be doing these jobs. This was fine by her.  Although, she doesn’t really need the salary because she is wealthy in her own rights but she did not want to lose her job nor lose contact with Hanny.  She was the only person that Hanny had and she loved this little girl like she gave birth to her. Poor Hanny, Nanny Pamela thought to herself.  She would now be forced to grow up at the tender age of six years old and be forced to be self-reliant. How would she possibly cope with being away from home? Nanny was worried! She was very worried! She had suggested to Mr. and Mrs. Bieler that she would continue to take care of Hanny whilst they’re in Germany but they had refused saying that Hanny would receive top education and interact with other kids at boarding school. Unfortunately, for the first few weeks at boarding school, contact with home and family is firmly discouraged by the school with beliefs that this would upset both children and parents. Nanny Pamela knows from experience with other kids she “nannied” in the past that Boarders at Boarding schools are not loved by their caretakers.  Some of these caretakers have sexually and emotionally abused many of these Boarders despite the priviledged background of these Boarders.  The Children are taught, fed, housed and that’s it. They’re not parented, not loved or hugged.  Nanny knows that no amount of impersonal contact by phone calls or emails can make up for the lack of personal interaction with their families. The once in a while visits with goodbyes at the end of the visits do not alleviate the pain a child feels in his or her heart when their parents have to leave at the end of those visits.  Poor, poor Hanny!  She would have to deal with the possibility of being bullied and abused coupled with missing her family. Nanny Pamela would try to visit her as much as she can.  She promised herself this. How could any parent do this to their child especially an only child?  Nanny Pamela has tremendous respect for the financial successes of the Bielers as well as the way Mrs. Bieler’ upbringing, but she does not have respect for their parenting skills.  The Bielers barely spent time with their beautiful daughter, Hanny although Nanny Pamela believes they love Hanny dearly but they have not been proper parents to this child. Hanny had fallen asleep crying in her mother’s arms. Her father picked her up and took her to her bedroom. Nanny Pamela followed. She stayed in Hanny’s room after her father left. Nanny was sure that this decision may have not been easy for them but she was also sure that they would regret this decision if things don’t go well for Hanny.  Hanny needs her parents and her home not a boarding school. Poor child will be destroyed by a sense of abandonment caused by her parents. The following morning after breaking the news to Hanny that she was being sent to boarding school, Stefan and Karina flew out to Germany to view properties and get ready for their move.  Nanny Pamela was annoyed by this.  They didn’t even bother to calm Hanny down despite the news they had given her yesterday about sending her to boarding school.  Surely, their daughter needs them around now.  Nanny felt the Bielers or one of them could have stayed or they could have taken Hanny with them, there’s still two more weeks before school starts!  Nanny couldn’t say anything to the Bielers although she so wanted to say something to them. One day, she would say something.  They were her employers and she loves Hanny like she could be her own child and she wants to make sure this precious child will be fine.   Intrigued for more?  www.booksbyememgenesis.com
