57. Chapter 57

Harry's phone wouldn't stop buzzing. It just wouldn't stop. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY WON'T IT STOP.

"Make it stop," I groaned into Harry's chest groggily. The sound was making my entire brain want to explode.
"Mmm," he groaned in detest as he shifted his weight next to me. A couple of seconds passed and his phone still pestered on.
"Babe," I said in a drawn out and raspy voice, pleading with him to make the dreadful noise come to an end. He let out a frustrated sigh as he lifted his arm from around my waist and reached over to my bedside table exasperatingly. With his eyes still closed, he fumbled his hand around, patting the table- trying to find the nuisance. I heard something crash to the ground in his attempts- making matters even worse for my throbbing head.
"Fucking shit," he said angrily as he finally opened his eyes so he could properly get the still buzzing pest. He shifted his body over me, pressing all of his weight onto me as he reached over to the floor to retrieve his phone. I could still smell the alcohol on his shirt, making the memories of last night come flooding back to me. Well somewhat. It was a bit hazy. I pressed the palm of my hand to my forehead trying to ease my massive headache. I was so hung-over.

Harry finally answered the damn thing, as his upper body still stretched across me, half on the bed and half leaning toward the floor. I held onto his waist to prevent him from falling.
"Hello?" he said, his voice gravelly and annoyed.
As soon as whoever was on the other end of the line spoke, he shot up in a panic, fumbling over me and stumbling onto the floor. I watched him through squinted eyes, curiously.
"No-no, of course I remembered, I'm already on my way right now!" he lied, as he scrambled to find his jeans. For some reason they were on top of my lamp? He spotted them just as I did, and began putting them on in a frenzy. He had his phone pressed between his shoulder and cheek as he jumped awkwardly up and down trying to shimmy up his pants. "Yes of course!" he said as he zipped up his zipper and fastened his button in a flash.
"Okay, see you in a bit!" he exclaimed as he hastily hung up the phone.
"What's going on?" I asked in a still hoarse voice.
"My mum and step-dad! They're back from their vacation and I was supposed to pick them up at the airport! They're in a lay over right now but they'll be here in an hour! I should have left ages ago!" he said in a rush as he rummaged through his bag for a shirt he could wear. He found a plain white t-shirt and changed into it quickly, allowing me to catch a quick glimpse of his perfectly toned body. He slipped on his worn out white converse and frantically began looking for his keys. I sat up, blinking jadedly as I watched him run around the room like a mad man.
"I've got to go!" he said, finally finding his keys and jetting out the door.

My room suddenly went quiet as all of Harry's commotion ceased.
Just like that he was gone. He had left so quickly without even a proper goodbye.
I sat there on my bed with a pout, still confused by what all had just happened in literally a matter of seconds. I lazily ran my fingers through my hair, scratching my head; as I looked around my sunlit room letting out a disgruntled sigh.

I heard a noise a few moments later and directed my gaze back to my doorway. I saw Harry standing there, this time seeming a little calmer as he let out a soft sigh; giving me a sympathetic smile.
"I couldn't just leave without saying goodbye, now could I?" he said as he strolled over to my bedside. I smiled appreciatively.
He lifted up my chin, and then leaned in, giving me a soft, sweet kiss. He lingered in front of me, and then pressed his forehead to mine as he scanned my eyes.
"I'll call you when I get back, okay?" he said thoughtfully.
I nodded my head and gave him a smile. He rubbed his thumb against my chin comfortingly, and then gave me another quick kiss before turning on his heel and heading out the door.
"Oh and one more thing!" he said as he held on to the doorframe on his way out, peeking his head back in as he remembered something. I looked up at him inquiringly as I waited for him to respond.
"...I love you," he said with sparkling eyes and a sweet smile.
I bit my bottom lip and smiled. "I love you too."
