In The Misty Meadow

*My english project this half term is to write a horror story. And of course I'm putting it on here too. Any comments and feedback would be amazing as it would help me go up a level if you can spot any grammar mistakes.*

7. Seven

A group of young high school children were on holiday in a beautiful large mansion set deep in the Cornish countryside.  It was owned by an old lady called Ms Brown.  One night the boys all gathered round the fire with cups of perfect warm cocoa listening to a story.

Mrs Brown was an old lady who rented out the large mansion.  She had brought the mansion off the little old lady that used to live there when she was young.  She was very short with long silver hair.  She spoke only in soft whispers furthermore; everyone thought she was most wise.  She had large green eyes and on the left of her forehead, just above her eyebrow was a thin silver scar.

She told the boys a story about a young girl and her friend going on holiday to this very mansion.  She told the boys about the adventures they had together there.  She told the boys about the day that the friend went missing and no one remembered her; about the young girl venturing off into the woods alone to search for her friend; about the meadow that she found.  She told them about how she found her friend there lifeless.  She explained how the girl fought a fearsome creature called the night mare with the help of a mystical spirit.  She told the boys how the girl got cut on her head by a sharp dagger.  She explained that the girl woke up the next morning in her bed with her friend still missing.  How she still had the scar on her head.  And how no one believed the girl’s story but she still told it to this day.
