Good Luck Charm (Book 1)

“3…2…1…” I told myself and flung open the door. No one was there, that was strange. I stepped outside to see if they were hiding behind one of the bushes, but tripped on something, I nearly fell down the stairs. Good think they invented railings, or I wouldn’t have had a firm grip on anything... “Perrie… you have a little bit more to worry about..." Danielle slowly said as she looked at the ground. There, on the ground was a large package, which looked full of something. On the outside it was clearly marked in thick, red marker: Leave the boys alone! If you contact them, I will hurt you.

8. Safe?

Niall's Point Of View

The boys and I had snuck out of our hotel suite and down into the entrance of the hotel, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the girls.

“They’ll come soon, mate,” Harry said as he put his hand on my shoulder.

“I know… I know,” I said and pulled my hand through my hair. Why was I so anxious? They were fine; they were surrounded by top security now. Only the best for our girls… My eyes wondered around the entrance. We were standing on a grand staircase, and at the bottom were more fans snapping pictures and singing to us. The receptionist looked rather annoyed at the sound as she was speaking on the phone. The walls were made up of floor to ceiling glass to the outside. It was smart, but it made me even more nervous. I couldn’t see the girls anywhere. Statues were in the entrance along with a few police officers on their radios.

“That’s what makes you beautiful! Baby you light up my world like nobody else, the way that you flip your head gets me overwhelmed but when you smile at the ground it ain’t hard to tell… you don’t knooo-ow you don’t know you’re beautiful!” the girls sang in their off tune voices. For some reason it was a comfort, but at the same time it was annoying.

The front door opened, and the screams were deafening, but then, in came four distressed girls surrounded by security. My heart leapt for joy!

“Nialler!” Amber yelled as she came right for me. I stood on the landing, in a trance as she came up to me and hugged me. She was shaking, and she looked a mess. Her shirt was crooked, and her hair was falling out of the braid she had placed it in. Her makeup was everywhere. The most important thing though, was that she was in my arms.

                “Amber.”

“I… I was so scared,” she cried into my shoulder. “I… I didn’t know what to do. I kept thinking that you were here and I was out there…” she didn’t continue. I stroked her back and comforted her until we were urged to go upstairs. I picked her up and carried her up the stairs, to the elevator and then back to her hotel suite, which adjoined mine and the others. She shared with Perrie, and I hoped that Zayn wouldn’t come in with her. I wanted some time alone with Amber. I needed to tell her that everything would be okay, and that I would promise that something like that would never happen again.

But, I didn’t get too. As I placed her on her bed, I saw that she had cried herself to sleep. I smiled, seeing how cute she looked peacefully sleeping. Placing the covers over her, I quietly left the room and went to the kitchen. I was hungry.
