Good Luck Charm (Book 1)

“3…2…1…” I told myself and flung open the door. No one was there, that was strange. I stepped outside to see if they were hiding behind one of the bushes, but tripped on something, I nearly fell down the stairs. Good think they invented railings, or I wouldn’t have had a firm grip on anything... “Perrie… you have a little bit more to worry about..." Danielle slowly said as she looked at the ground. There, on the ground was a large package, which looked full of something. On the outside it was clearly marked in thick, red marker: Leave the boys alone! If you contact them, I will hurt you.

9. Concert

Amber’s point of view

I took a seat in between Danielle and Eleanor during the concert that night. It had been an emotionally draining few days, and going to a concert performed by our boyfriends seemed in order. I always enjoyed their concerts, though this was only my second one since I started dating Niall, and my third one since he asked for my number. It was fun to watch them, I would dance and sing along, and so would the other girls. It was the only time when we had an excuse to fan girl. Though, people from behind us would poke our shoulders and ask for a picture with them or an autograph, it got kind of annoying, but in the end it didn’t matter.

The boys came on with ‘Na Na Na’, the fans started screaming, and it was nearly deafening. Eleanor and I started happily dancing, sending winks and kisses to Niall and Louis. They kept looking at us and winking back. It was really cool. I was having the time of my life and was really relaxing when Niall put the microphone to his mouth and started talking.

“We have four special guests with us today! They are Amber, Daniele, Eleanor and Perrie!” He exclaimed in an excited voice and everyone started to cheer and scream some more. “Our girls have been through a lot,” he continued. “We love it that you love our girlfriends, but if you have a problem with them, keep it to yourselves.” It did sound rude, but I could tell that Niall was glad to get it out of his system. He then came to the edge of the stage where I was, put his microphone in his pocket.

“Come up,” He instructed as I came to the edge. A security guard stopped me, but Niall quickly said that I was his girlfriend. The man seemed a little embarrassed, but let it go.

“I’ll try,” I laughed. I slipped off my high heels and started to try, but then Liam came up to the edge and told Danielle to come up too. Soon after, Louis and Zayn came up and instructed Perrie and Eleanor the same time. We all laughed at this, and took off our high heels before attempting to come up.

“I can’t climb anything!” Eleanor complained with a laugh as Louis tried to pull her up.

“Me neither,” I laughed as Niall tried to pull me up. Danielle didn’t need any help, so she helped Eleanor, then me and then Perrie. We all laughed at the experience.

“Just sit on the couch, Loves,” Louis instructed as he led us to the famous couch in the centre of the stage which was brought everywhere on tour.

“Okay! So finally my girl, Amber… or Amberger as I loved to call her, is up on stage. Why don’t y’all greet her?” He didn’t really have to ask, since there was already lots of screaming. I blushed.

“He used your nickname!” Eleanor teased and poked her elbow playfully in my ribcage.

“As many as you may know, this is Danielle, or Dani!” Liam introduced Danielle and a picture of her came up on the TVs around. It was of her dancing.

“Ewww,” Danielle laughed. “That picture? Really?”

“Can’t be that bad,” Perrie laughed. “There’s a lot more embarrassing pictures out there.”

“This is Perrie, and she’s mine!” Zayn announced and a picture of Perrie singing with Little Mix came up, but she was circled with a red digital marker and love hearts surrounded. We all laughed.

“Last but not least is Eleanor,” Louis said. “But I call her El… and just to be clear SHE’S MINE!” He yelled through the microphone and I laughed. Only a true Directioner would understand, I thought. (Video diary #3)

“What are they planning?” Danielle demanded of me.

“I’ve no clue,” I admitted. “But I wish I knew.”

“To show these girls how much we love them, we decided to sing them a song… in front of you guys!” the crowd cheered, and all us girls started furiously blushing. The cameras and spotlights were on us.

Danielle’s point of view

I blushed as the cameras and lights pointed at us. It made me feel special. The lights suddenly dimmed the music to What Makes You Beautiful came on.

The lights came back on in perfect time for Liam’s solo. He was close to the couch and was walking around it. In Harry’s solo, he walked up to the crowed and pointed at particular girls to make them feel special. When they sang the chorus all the boys danced around the couch, winking at us. We all blushed. I made a mental note to take Liam out somewhere special tonight.

Zayn’s solo came; he took Perrie’s hand and lifted her up to her feet. She started doing a little jig as Zayn sang, making the crowd scream even more. On the chorus again all the boys took our hands and led us around the stage. We all danced weirdly. I was the only pro dancer there, but I didn’t rub it in. I just had fun and danced like I did when I was five.

By the end of the song, we were all pooped and ready to fall asleep. It was a good workout, really, but run purely on adrenaline.

“Thank you girls,” the boys all said at once and gave us a hug. It seemed Liam hugged me especially hard.

“You did great,” I told him. “Thanks for that… it was… amazing.”

“No prob,” Liam smiled. “Now, we want to thank the girls for coming up,” Liam spoke into his microphone.

“Can I have the mic?” I asked, whispering into his ear.

“Sure.” I saw that Amber, Perrie and El were also stealing their boyfriend’s mics.

“Woooow! We have the best boyfriends ever!” Perrie hotted through the mic.

“I know! I feel soo special now!” Amber chimed in. “You guys are great! Without you, One Direction would be nothing!”

“Yes! What Amber said! And without you guys we wouldn’t be standing here right now!” Another round of cheers. The spotlights were almost blinding. With that, another round of music came, and this time it was Gotta Be You.

Amber’s Point of View

The lights, the cheering, the music. It was almost too much to take in at once. I was never good on stage in front of people, but now I was enjoying myself way to much! The music started up again, and I knew the song, but I decided to play dumb.

“Is this Gotta Be You?” I asked in the mic. A deafening yes came through the crowd. “Okay then… let’s see how much you guys know of it since I’m not giving up this microphone up anytime soon!” I challenged. The fans laughed, screamed, and then started to sing. It was off key, but cool. I stood in the middle of the stage trying to look out at the fans, but I couldn’t even see half of them. There were signs saying: marry me! I love you! You’re the best! Etc., etc.

I suddenly felt a strong grip on my waist, I screamed. I franticly turned around to see Niall cheekily grinning at me.

“Scared ya,” He laughed into my ear. I laughed a little too. He lifted me over his head. I stretched out my arms and legs so I looked like superman flying through the sky. I saw El pleading with Louis to do the same, so soon enough El and I were being run across the stage by our boyfriends pretending to be supermen. I loved it, but after a few minutes Niall apologized and put me down.

“It’s gotta be youuuu!” I sang to Niall with the crowd, but not into the microphone. I wasn’t the best singer, and I didn’t want the whole world to know that. I didn’t mind the whole world seeing me in my pyjamas, but I DID mind them hearing me sing.

Eleanor soon came down too. We gave each other high-fives and danced around the stage. It was fun, but all too soon the sound ended and the crowd continued with their frantic, deafening screams.

“Thank you!” I called to the crowd. “That was the best ever! Best concert I’ve ever attended! Now let’s hear a cheer for the boys!” the crowd screamed even louder, and I had to block my ears before giving the microphone back to Niall.

“Okay… so before you lovely girls to back and sit down, go and sit on the couch. The boys and I will be back soon.” Niall and the boys ran off the stage much to the fans dismay. Us girls nervously sat on the couch, and before we knew it, the boys all came back – each with a bunch of flowers, even Harry! We all got one from our respective boyfriends. Mine smelt beautiful! All were red and white roses, my favourite! I hugged Niall thankyou and kissed him on the cheek.

Harry went to the edge of the stage, and handed the flowers to random girls, picking a flower from the bunch.

We escorted ourselves and went back to our seats. It was needless to say it was the best night ever!

Eleanor’s point of view

As soon as I sat down people all around me where saying that I was lucky. All I could do was smile and say thank you as we continued to enjoy the rest of the songs. There were a few like Up All Night where I started dancing and Amber, Perrie and Danielle joined in. It was special; we ignored the deafening screams and focused on the music and the boys.
