Just A Dream

Dreams do come true, especially for three best friends who have promised each other to move to London and meet the loves of their lives- One Direction. They encounter things they would never ever expect. Conflicts bring out the worst and the best of these girls and meeting new people could change their lives forever. If you had a chance to meet the loves of your life, wouldn't you want to follow it?

1. Making It A Reality

|| Nikki's POV ||

"I can't believe this is actually happening." I say to my two best friends Riley and Kaulena as we sit on the couch, eating at our going away party. They shook their heads in agreement.

"I know, this is unbelievable." Riley says, as she takes a bite from her salad.

Sitting in my house with all three of our families and friends is just a little over whelming. Saying goodbye to everyone is tough too. My whole life is here. My childhood took place in this very house.

I remember the very first day I met them both. I met Kaulena when she our softball team. We instantly clicked. I met Riley at my middle school, a mutual friend introduced us. We hung out so much, considering the fact that we lived two minutes away from each other. When we were 15, we went to our favorite boy band, One Direction's, concert. I introduced them both to each other as we went to the concert. They were my only true close friends that were in love with One Direction. We fell in love with the boys on the stairs right when we watched their signature video diaries. I fell in love with the funny and cute, Louis Tomlinson. Riley fell in love with the sensible and hot, Liam Payne. Kaulena couldn't stop thinking about the cheeky and sexy, Harry Styles. I guess it was an advantage for us because we didn't love the same boys, even though we all loved all the boys equally. I guess the certain boys just caught our eyes from the start. We promised each other that when we turn 18 we would move to London together and experience the wonderful life of the Brits. We never broke that promise, obviously.

"Nikki, hey, so um... you're leaving." The guy I had a crush on back in my freshman year says to me. "Oh hey Jake, and yeah," I laugh, "That's why we're all here." I giggle a little and he half smiles. "Well, I hope you have fun out there and make sure to visit once in a while!" He says, blushing a little as he looks at his feet. "I will, and I will keep in touch okay?" I pull him in for a hug.

Yeah, I really liked him, but I kept waiting and waiting for him to feel the same way until I finally just gave up hope. It is probably better to just be friends with him. We have become really close in the past couple years. We would always hang out together and go to lunch. If only it had happened a couple years earlier.

I hear someone clapping their hands, and me and Jake turn our attention to where the clapping is coming from.

"Everyone! Everyone!" My mom says as she stands up on the chair. "We would like to say a few words to our baby girls before they leave on this life changing adventure." The three of us walk up to our moms as they tell everyone about how much they are going to miss us and about all the funny memories from when we were little.

After the saying our goodbyes to people and having nice chats with our loved ones, we all pile into my room. Tomorrow we are going to the airport at 4 in the morning. We have everything packed and in the car. We laid out our clothes for the morning.

"I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight." Kaulena admits.

"I won't be able to either." I reply, shaking my head. Then, a loud snore comes from Riley. Kaulena and I look at each other slowly and start laughing hysterically.

"We should've known she would have crashed right when she hit the bed." I say turning onto my stomach. "Well, I am going to try and sleep so we can just get to London already! I can't wait!"

"Goodnight!" Kaulena makes herself comfortable in the bed right beside me, and the next thing I knew she was asleep too. I can never fall asleep right away when I have these big or exciting days coming up. Nerves and excitement get to me, I guess.

For about an hour, I toss and turn in the crowded bed. My mind races as I think about the plane ride and finally perusing my dreams.

I wake up to my alarm clock in a dark room at 3:45. Jesus, it is was too early. I hop out of bed and turn on the light. As my eyes adjust, I see Kaulena jump up from her spot in the bed. She slowly mumbles to herself and walks to the bathroom. Riley, on the other hand, remains asleep. She is a sleeper, big time. I walk over to her and start shaking her awake.

"Wake up, idiot!" I yell at her. She doesn't budge, "Mrs. Payne, wake up!” After that, she is up out of bed faster then a kid going to Disneyland.

I throw on my clothes and walk downstairs, my mouth watering to the smell of waffles.

My mom is standing in the kitchen cooking breakfast for us.

"You really didn't have to mom." I say sitting in the seat next to Kaulena at the table.

"It was no big deal. Anyways, I have to drive you!" I nod agreeing with her. Riley finally walks down and joins us.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." Kaulena says, laughing at herself. I would laugh but I am too tired.

"Oh, shut up." Riley snaps back.

After breakfast we all pile into the car, still too tired to have normal conversations. I plug in my iPhone, deciding to bring back the old memories again.

I go through my music and play the song “Another World”. We absolutely loved that song. We all start to sing along and go through my One Direction playlist.

We finally arrive at the airport and say our goodbyes. It was the most difficult thing I have ever had to do. But, before we knew it, we were walking through the airplane tunnel, and settling into our seats.

Finally! After all this time, we are on our way to London.

Memories are about to be made and our dreams are about to become a reality. Finally.
