6. Come Back

Adam picked me up right when he said he would, and when we pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant I wanted to break down. It was Nando's, the same place Niall took me when we went out for the first time. It was all the same, minus the cameras. I enjoyed beig able to have privacy, but I just wished I was with Niall.
We ordered and talked. Adam made me laugh, and he was really attractive, but I couldn't focus. I kept thinking about Niall. Everything at this place reminded me of him. At one point, Adam even asked me if I was okay. I had to hold back my tears and put on a smile. He was a sweet guy and he didn't deserve this. He didn't deserve to have me come on a date with him. He deserved somebody better.
We were there for about 30 minutes, when I heard an all too familiar voice behind me.
"Chloe-" the voice sounded tired, like the person it belonged to had ran all the way here. And it was an irish accent. Shit.
Adam's face dropped and I immediately knew who was behind me.
"Niall...leave." I said, sternly. I didn't want to turn around. I didn't want to see his face. It would hurt too bad. He put his hand on my shoulder, trying to get me to turn around.
"Aren't you supposed to be in another country with another girl right now?" Adam said, bravely.
"Shut up!" Niall's hand tensed on my shoulder.
"Don't tell him to shut up, Niall! You need to go away!" tears started forming in my eyes. I kept saying it over and over in my mind, don't turn around. Because if I did, I would fall in love with those blue eyes all over again.
"Dude, you heard her! LEAVE!" Adam was starting to get mad. This was not good. Why was Niall here?!?
"I told you to keep it shut!" Niall took his hand off my shoulder and walked over to Adam. So much for not turning around. He looked beyond exhausted, in sweatpants and a tshirt. I wanted to make up with him so bad.
"This is MY DATE!" Adam shouted, and stood, challenging Niall. He was totally asking for it.
"I just need to talk to her!" Niall shouted back. Adam's face was red. He punched Niall straight in the cheek, but right when he did, he looked like he wished he hadn't. He looked scared.
"I-I'm sorry. I just can't do this right now," tears were in his eyes and he just turned around and left.
"Adam!" Great. Now I had to stay here with the last person on Earth I wanted to see.
"Thanks a fucking lot Niall!" I got up to leave but he grabbed my arm. I turned around and looked into those blue eyes. His cheek was swelling up and he looked like he had been crying.
"Is that why you're so mad at me? For going out with Demi?" he asked.
"No shit!" I was so pissed. I just wanted to go home.
People were staring at us. We were making a scene. "Can we please go outside?" he asked. I nodded and he lead me to the side of the restaurant. Rain was falling slowly. I didn't care that I was getting wet. Niall was here. I was so mad at him, but everytime I looked at him it was so hard to confront him. I loved him so much and when I was away from him, I always felt empty. And now he was here.
I stood against the brick wall on the side of the restaurant. "I went out with Demi to talk. I promise! That's it! I don't like her! She's just a friend and I could NEVER do that to you. When I'm on tour, I miss you so much it hurts."
"I don't believe you! You don't even care about me! She's famous, she's prettier!"
And with that, he crashed his lips into mine. When he pulled away, I didn't know what to say. "Come with me. Come back on tour. We'll get you and Kathleen a teacher. A good one. I can't be away from you any longer." I didn't need to say anything, he knew the answer. We ran through the rain to his car and everything felt okay for once.
