8. My Awful Date

I looked- horrid. My hair was all straight and not the glossy shiny straight but the dead poker straight. My make up was clingy and made my face feel stretched and tight. My dress was clinging and red, who wears a bright red dress with purple eye-liner and green shoes? I looked like a walking, talking Christmas tree.

"You look amazing!" Shannon Portly exclaimed, her standards of 'amazing' where obviously very low, since she was dressed in a yellow and green stripy dress and netting around her shoulders-gross! I didn't reply, if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all! We where going to a small off town restaurant and then a party of Shannon's friend, Shannon was Katie's new follower, great, a tag along! We reached the small restaurant and it was decorated in fairy lights and candles, it looked nice, I admitted. But how could I notice things like this when I was shaking from head to toe and was unable to walk in straight line, I must be a miracle worker! Mum wasn't so keen on my going out, neither was I, but Katie had called and insisted I go. Mum adores Katie. We walked in the restaurant and there where four boys, They all smiled and waved, Katie stalked off towards Liam, he kissed her daintly on the cheek and then looked at me and sniggered

"Who's this?" He asked Katie. She paused and smiled reassuringly at me

"My friend, Lily!" She said, he raised his eyebrow. I blushed.

"Oh yeah, you said something about her. You description fits her perfectly, perfect description on the hair!" He said sniggering, Katie blushed and elbowed him. I glared at him furiously, he just chuckled and prodded his friend who turned around

"Yeah?" His friend said, he was bulky with blonde wispy hair, he did not look hot as Katie had described him. I frowned

"Hey, meet Lily!" He said and sniggered once more, I felt like I could punch him.

"Oh, hi, Lily." He said and turned away, Liam laughed and Katie shrugged, he dragged her away.

The evening was horrible, I stood holding a glass of coke, I refused to drink. Liam and Katie danced romantically, I even noticed them kissing. The bulky boy didn't look at me twice, I noticed him dancing with some skinny blonde. I sighed, I was boiling and tucked my hair behind my ear and left the restaurant. It was dark outside, I felt ill and bored and we hadn't even gone to the party yet. I walked outside and found a small waist height wall and sat down. I felt uglier than ever and I felt like I should feel like that. I noticed a boy across the road, he leaned against the wall watching me. I turned away, I looked back, he wasn't watching me he was watching a slim blonde. I sighed and grabbed my phone from my clutch purse. I knew what I had to do.
