Tears of shame flowed out of my eyes, which were beginning to become sore and red. Time went past slowly, every second felt like an hour, every minute felt like a day. Depression wasn't the word for it , the feeling that I had was more of a mix between anger and hatred.

Soon, the tears had stopped. Cautiously, I dabbed my dry forefinger around the sodden and sore area of my eye ; to see if I was actually imagining it. Happy and lighthearted that I was finished crying, I stepped forwards, towards Branwell.

As I blinked, I saw Branwell finally unlocking the door to the servants quarters. Sighing with relief, I felt calm and in control because a safe heaven was open to me. Looking around me, I realised that Branwell had actually disappeared, vanished into the clear air of the unknown.

As I looked back at the open door of the servants chambers I saw a friendly and familiar face: the young Italian woman who I blabbed to earlier about Georgie Mills.

"You could've just knocked, you know!" Her angry voice broke the silence that had surrounded me for the past hour or so, it was probably less though because for the majority of that time I was crying.

I looked at her completely expressionless, my feelings was a complete shambles and I wanted to keep completely calm at that particular moment because panicking over the welfare of both of my cousins were second on my list, the first being me. My first reaction was to go inside and lock the door behind me, I did so- her expression was pure surprise.
