54. Meetings of the unlikely

Scared and confused with what just happened, I decided to quickly find refuge in the servants chamber: to get some kind of help. I looked around quickly, quite desperate to find someone or something when my eyes laid on something shining in the glistening light of both the chandelier and the cold white rays of the mysterious moon. Branwell.

"Get me to the servants chambers." My voice was wobbly yet commanding.
"Of course." Replied the figure of a man I knew so little of, but it seemed as though I knew everything about him.

He stepped forwards, quite slow at first as I was probably giving off vibes of anger, death and least of all confusion. He seemed more weary than ever, his smile seemed to comfort me a little- probably try to get me to be calm before this storm was to begin, really begin.

We were standing to the right of the stairs, cold wind surrounding our every move. Panic filled me up like a glass of water because I could actually hear scuffling noises, but after a few minutes I put the sound down to the rats or mice who shared this magnificent house with us.

While Branwell was trying to get the door open, I tried to comfort myself, this time I just started to hum to myself. Unfortunately, this made me just that tad more irritated and I snapped.

"Take your time, will you?" My tone sarcastic with a worried tone running straight through it.

Looking up from trying to pry the lock to actually unlock, Branwell seemed stressed. He looked straight into my eyes, deep and sorrowful.

"Do you want to die tonight, Mila? Because, for your information that's what your father was planning to do after he killed Declan."

While he was making this speech, my head dropped towards the ground with guilt, realising just what I said.
