I Have What It Takes

My name is Dani. I'm 13 years old. The crowd roars with aplause as I step on to the stage. I'm only 13. It seems like I have come so far. What if it all ends in dissapointment. After all I am not suppost to be here. My fiingers instinctivly wrap around the microphone. I take a deep breath. This is the X-factor finals.
(This is for the M-Factor competition)

1. The Auditions

Sweat trickles down my fore head. I barely have a grip on the microphone

"Sweaty, you can go out now." Says a man with a head set and a red t-shirt. I managed to read the fiew words my mind could focus on.

"X-factor" I read allowed.

"Yes love, that's what this is. The X-Factor." He responded.

"Oh yea, I know, I was just-" I didn't have time to finish. I guess I was glad. I would have gone on forever.

The X-Factor. That's where I am. I could have all of my dreams come true, if I could focus it didn't seem so hard, until my name was called.

I walk onto the stage. I stand on the X on the floor. I scan the audience. They all seem nice. Hopefully that's true.

"Hello there." Says Simon.

I try to think of a clever reply. One that will make people like me. I scan my thoughts, but I only manage to focus on one word.

"Hi." I say.

"How old are you, love?" He asks.

"13!" I answer.

"Wow!" Replies Demi.

"What song will you be singing?" Asks Britney.

"Um...Wide Awake." I stutter. Will I even be able to sing my song?  Or will I just stutter through it. No I won't. I can't. I have come too far. All my life. My 13 year old life, all I have wanted is to sing.

"I'm wide awake." I begin.

"I'm wide awake." I continue.

"I'm wide awake." I notice britney smiling at me. Does she like me already? I hope that's true. But why am I thinking about weather the judges like me already? I should be focusing on making them like me.

"Yea I was in the dark and I was falling har with an open heart I'm wide awake. How did I read the stars so worng." I sing. Throughout the next par of the song I notice Simon's smile grow wider. Then I reach the corus.

"I'm falling from cloud nine, Im crashing from the high, I'm letting go toni-" Simon cuts me off.

"Stop!" He says. The crowd goes silent and so do I. Have I done somethng wrong?

"Dani, do you have a diifirent song prepaired?" He asks.

"Yes." I reply nervously.

"Good." He says.

I begin my new song.

"Every day is so wonderful then suddenly, it's hard to breath." The crowd roars with applaus. Did I really sound that great? I finish up the song and look Simon in the eyes.

"You know Dani, the reason I asked you to switch songs was because I knew you were cappable of much more than that fist song, and think I was proven correct." He says. The crowd reacts loudly to this. Apparently they like me. The judges all comment on my song, but i'm too focused on Simon's last comment. My thoughts are inturrupeted by Simon.

"Dani, that's 4 yes's!" I jump in excitment!

I'm going to boot camp
