Rebecca has a big sister, though she often feels like the more responsible one.
What happens when Catherine, Rebecca's sister, doesn't come home? Will she be let off or suffer a horrible punishment.

8. School

It's Sunday today, we usually have a roast at gran's but it's obvious no one feels up to it; we all got up late this morning and haven't done anything since.

We order a Chinese and sit in the front room, watching Strictly results. I still can't quite believe what has actually happened and when I have a bath and go to bed it feels like I've been watching a really sad film.

Big clouds fill my head when my alarm clock goes off at 6:30 and I drag myself into the shower; it's good being in the shower because my tears blend in so I can fool myself i'm not crying. When I get out of the shower I dress in my boring uniform and pull my hair back into a ponytail; I can't be bothered to do anything else. I'm not hungry, I just feel sick, so I don't eat breakfast. Brushing my teeth makes me feel more sick so I barely put the brush in my mouth. I've arranged for Jodie and her mum to pick me up and take me to school; I can't face the bus alone. Kat's not coming to school. She has to go back to the police station.

My friends are protecting me at school; David Cameron's body guards probably aren't as protective as Jodie and Sam. Being at school makes me feel helpless and I spend the whole day looking at the ground.
