14. Chapter 14

No I thought to myself. I looked up at Harry who has a tear running down his cheek. I reach up and wipe it away. I put my arms around him and I hugged him tight. I looked at the boys who were also crying. I walked over hugged Louis, Zayn, and Liam. I hugged Niall last only because I wanted to hug him longer reason being that he is leaving. No, I told myself. I’m not letting him go without a fight. “Why?” I asked Niall. “Mum won’t tell me why. She is just insisting that I leave.” He answered. “Paul, do you know why?” I asked. “No.” “Niall, where is your mom right now?” I asked him. “On vacation.” He answered. “Where on vacation?” “Here. My family is staying in a the hotel down the road.” “Okay. Harry, may I please borrow your keys?” “Sure babe.” Harry answered slowly. He reaches in his pocket looking for the keys, pulls them out, and slowly puts them in my hand. “Juliet, where are you going?” He asked me. “To fix things. I’m not letting Niall go without a fight. He’s practically my brother. We’re all a family. Just trust me.” I told them. I turned around, made my way down the hallway, and walked out the door. I got to the Audi R8, unlocked it, sat in the driver’s seat, started the car, buckled up, and drove away. I found the hotel down the road from the hotel Paul and Clodagh were staying in. I parked, got out of the car, and walked to the lobby doors. I made my way to the check-in and check-out desk. “Hi, I’m looking for the Horan’s room.” I said to the lady behind the desk. “Do you know the Horans’?” She asked me. “I’m best friends with their son.” I told her. “I’m sorry, the Horans’ are not allowing guests without the last name of Horan.” “Well why not?” I asked her. “Simply because their son is a superstar.” “Niall isn’t a superstar.” I lied to her. “You are holding up the line.” She said. “No, I think you have the wrong Horans’.” She sighed. “Ma’am,” she started, “I know you are currently in a relationship with one of Niall’s bandmates.” “Correct.” I said. “Considering you know who I am, may I please have the Horan’s room number?” I asked impatiently. She sighed again. “I suppose.” She told me while writing down the room number and handing me the piece of paper. “Thank you.” I said. She nodded. I got to the elevator, pressed the up button and waited. The elevator came, I walked into it, pressed the floor number, and waited. The elevator stopped at the eighth floor to let me out. I stepped out, and walked down the hallway until I found the room number. I knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal Niall’s dad. “Hi Mr. Horan.” I said. “Juliet, what a surprise. How did you find our room?” He asked me. “I talked the front desk lady into helping me out. It took awhile but I got it.” I said. When I said that, I thought I sounded a little british. This country is taking away my American accent. “Oh, well you could have called. I could have talked to her to let you in without any trouble.” “I’ll keep that in mind for next time.” I told him. “Okay, well did you need something?” He asked me in his irish accent. “I actually wanted to ask you something.” I said. “You came all this way to ask me something?” “Yes, well I was actually just down the road.” “Okay, well what is your question?” He asked me. “I was wondering why you have decided to take Niall out of One Direction.” He sighed. “It’s complicated.” He said. “Mr. Horan, by taking him out is going to crush the world. Niall is a massive part of One Direction. It wouldn’t be One Direction without him. Before I left the boys to come to you, everyone in the room was crying. Not to mention the alligator tears from Niall.” I said. “I’m taking him out simply because," he paused, "his family never gets to see him. We only get to see him when the boys are performing near home, or when they are on short breaks. The whole family has discussed this, and we’ve all agreed to bring him home.” He said. “Mr. Horan, I respect you greatly, but by proceeding with your plan, you’re not only crushing the girls’ around the world, and the rest of the One Direction family, but you’re crushing his dream. If doing what he is doing as his job, wasn’t his dream, he would have never auditioned for the X Factor.” I told him. “Mr. Horan,” I continued, “please allow Niall to continue performing with One Direction. I’m 100% positive that we can work something out for his family to see him more often. Just please consider it.” I begged him. He was silent for a few minutes when he looked at me. “You’re right. That is his dream, and by taking him out would crush him. So, I’m not going to. But we need a plan to be able to see him more. Can you talk with Paul about this?” “Why don’t I give you his your number. When you call him can ask him not to say that you’re saying yes, because I kind of want this to be surprise.” I asked him. “Absolutely.” “Thanks.” I said while writing the number down on the piece of paper the front desk lady gave to me. I thanked Mr. Horan again and left.
