Third, she has two boys from One Direction fighting over her. It all starts when she accidentally runs into Liam Payne while on a chase from security guards. When Liam invites her to stay with him after realizing that she's homeless, things get out of hand. Now, her past partner in crime (literally) JJ is out to get her. The boys of One Direction will do anything they can to keep her safe, and Francesca will do anything to keep them from finding out about her deepest, darkest, secret....

4. No Matter What

"Frank!" an angry, deep voice yelled. I looked up from my seat on the ground in an alleyway to see JJ, my long-term enemy on the streets. I got up fast. He had two big men behind him.

"What?" I said.

"You told," he growled.

"Told who?" I snapped, but I knew perfectly well what I did.

"You told Artie here that I robbed the bank, and they now lookin fo' me!" he said in his on-the-street accent.

"I didn't say nuttin'!" I cried in a matching accent.

"You dead now, Frankie," he grumbled. Suddenly, he lunged at me, and snatched my hair. I tried to pull back but he had a tight grip. The two men grabbed my arms. I screamed as loud as I could in pain and helplessness.

"No! Please!" I sobbed. I expected JJ to have some sort of weapon on him.

"I told you not to!" JJ hissed. I was now crying hysterically. Is this how I die? No, I needed to escape.

I squirmed but they were holding on too tight. JJ took out a knife and I screamed. The two men moved apart and JJ moved in. He was aiming for my chest, but at the last second I mustered up all my strength to drop myself. The knife still went in my arm and pulled down, making a deep cut down my arm.

Shaking, I stood up to face JJ. I was crying in the pain, but I didn't mean to. JJ growled, making me run away down the alley, leaving my only two belongs left. The three guys started chasing me, but I outran them because they had weighed more.

"NO!"I hollered, sitting straight up. I looked around to see I was in a white room. Moonlight flooded through the open windows. I closed them abruptly. I was shaking, sweating, and crying. I looked down at my arm to see the big scar. It wasn't just a dream.

I sat back down on the bed trying to regain myself. But I couldn't. I was a mess.

"Frankie?" I heard a soft voice say. I gasped and turned sharply, only to see Liam looking worried.

I looked back down, still sobbing. "I'm sorry to wake you." I apologized. Liam shook his head and sat down next to me.

"Are you okay? What happened?" Liam wondered. I shook my head.

"Nothing. Just a nightmare," I said shortly. Liam scowled.

"You know those aren't real, right?" he checked. I turned away. No I wanted to say. They are real. But I only nodded.

"I'm here for you, Francesca." he said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I didn't flinch away; just glared at him.

"Frankie. Not Francesca," I corrected. Liam looked apologetic I looked down and laughed dryly. "Francesca makes me sound like I'm a decent person."

"You are, Frankie." Liam said in a cautious tone. I dug my face into his chest and sobbed. "You don't know of my past, Liam. You don't." I said in between sobs.

"The past is the past. Leave it behind you." Liam whispered.

"If you knew what I did...you would hate me. Leave me just like my mom did," I cried.

Liam looked shocked and worried. He hugged me closer to his chest. "No matter what." was all he said. No matter what what? I wanted to ask him what he meant, but before I knew it I fell asleep in his arms.

"LIAM!" a voice yelled, coming closer and closer. Somebody burst through the doors, alarming me. My eyes shot open.

"Hello, Frankie!" a cheerful voice said. I looked up to see Stripes, otherwise known as Louis. I couldn't help smiling. "Hello." I said before plopping right down. And thats when I realized where I was.

Liam slept peacefully beside me, his arms wrapped around me. I gasped. What would Danielle think! I tried to scramble out, but his grip was tight.

"Louis!" I whispered. I indicated toward Liam. Louis grabbed my ankle and slowly dragged me out. I couldn't help but giggling.

I had only been there for a week and already I loved the boys. They were so funny and nice.

I plopped down on the floor on my stomach. I jumped up. Liam stirred, but he didn't wake. Louis was laughing like a fool. I slapped him on the shoulder. "Not funny."

Harry, the curly haired kid, stood scowling in th doorway. I waved with an inncoent smile that made Louis chuckle even more.

"What were you doing sleeping with Liam?" Harry said.

"No! It was nothing, I just-" I began before I was interrupted by a groggily voice. "Hazza?" It said. Harry smiled and plopped down next to Lam. Liam was still half-asleep."Hello!" he said, causing Louis and I to laugh. Liam turned over and wrapped his arms around Harry. I stuck my tongue out at Harry.

"Frankie," Liam mumbled. Harry and Louis's jaws both dropped in unison. I just shrugged innocently. "Hey. What can I say? I'm adorable!" I teased. "Where are the others?"

"It was just me and Hazza that came down to see you. Nobody else was awake." Louis explained.

"I wasn't awake! You woke me up!" Harry pouted. Louis shrugged, making me giggle.

"Hey, I have an idea! Why don't you guys HELP ME OUT OF HERE! LIAM WAKIE WAKIE!" Harry cried. Liam didn't even stir.

"He woke up last night," I scowled before realizing what I said. Louis gasped. "WHAT?!" he screamed.

"I have an idea! Me and Louis ditch Harry! BYE!" I shouted, running down the hallway.

"FRANKIE! THIS ISN'T OVER YET!" Louis called, chasing after me. And from the living room, we could hear Harry yell, "GUYS! WAIT! HELP!"
