'Heya, I'm Olivia. I'm one of your everyday awesome teenage girls, with gorgeous hair and bright blue eyes. I live in a tiny village and my house is surrounded by the elderly. Fun.
So I am totally puzzled when something extraordinary happens to me...'

(This was my very first published movella- so it isn't that good- although some people seem to like it....)

4. James and me

It was getting late. I was used to Rowgate Road now, as I had been there for some weeks. I stood back and looked at my handiwork. I had cleared a bed of weeds, and I was about to plant some flowers in their place. I still had an hours work to go, but I was tired already. So I sat down on that same bank, where I met Rosie for the first time, and looked at my sore hands. I had collected a couple of blisters, that was for sure.

"Heya" said James softly as he approached me.

"Hi" I replied and then sighed.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing much. Just stuff."

"Do you wanna go for a walk around this place? You've only seen a bit of it at the moment." He took my hand. "Come on."

We walked around the other flowerbeds where nobody was working because they had all gone to work on the other not-so-pretty part of the road. We also walked by the pond. It was muddy and slippery. I tried to stay up but I slipped over. Cringe! My side was covered in mud. At least it wasn't on my hair.

James pulled me up and we sat on a grassy part of the bank together.

"Wow" I breathed "you were right. This place is beautiful."

"Yes, it's gorgeous. But it's not the only one." And with that, he kissed me. And I kissed him back. We stopped when we heard the guard, who checks us over, prowling about. As we went back to work, under the guards orders, I thought about what James said. 'But it's not the only one.'? Not exactly the best I've ever heard, but oh well.

I was wrapped up in my own thoughts, when Rosie came over. She looked smug, but in a friendly way.

"So," she said "I saw you and James." Oh no! She saw my embarrassed face.

"Its okay." she said "So do you believe me now when I told you that he liked you?" She was deadly serious. This cracked me up laughing.

"Yes, yes I do!" I laughed as Rosie tickled me. She went all serious again.

"And half of the other teenagers know what happened as well." What?!?!?!

"How?" I asked, going pink.

"Oh, the only small clue is that your lipstick is smeared on his face."

"Oh no! Can you go and tell him, from me, that please, please, please can he wash it off? You know I can't go up to him, now everyone knows."

"Sure" Rosie replied. And with that, she walked over to James and talked to him quietly. After a few nods and mmmmm's, James hurried away and Rosie came back.

"Was he embarrassed? What did he say? Is it alright now?" I asked in a hurry.

"Woah, slow down!" she replied, "He wasn't that embarrassed, not as much as you anyway, it's fine. Oh yeah, he told me to tell you 'Don't worry, babe, it's okay.'"

"Thank you so much!" I replied as I gave her a bestie hug. She was totally the best. I could have never coped without her.
