The Seasons of My Earth

The seasons of the earth put into poetry because they deserve a little praise.

2. Autumn

Autumn, autumn.

The sky, very pale blues and greys.

The wind lazily whirling around the earth, but it has lost its summer warmth.

The flowers withering at the edges of their beautiful petals.

The sky, the sky that seems to be edged with a frame cloud.

The leaves on the trees all different shades of orange, yellow and red.

The bushes covered in bulging red berries, predicting a cold winter.

The rain gliding down the glass window panes in glistening, watery lines.

This is autumn, breezy and colourful and pale, the season of expecting, expecting winter.
