11. The Knock on the Door (11)

-2 Days Later-

"Bang, bang, bang," went the door as the police officer knocked it.

Kevin's Dad could just about see the police's uniform through the door's window and quickly ran to opened in.

"I'm part of the police department, may I come in," said the police officer flashing his badge at Kevin's Dad.

"Yes, of  course," replied Scott nervously. The police officer barged past Scott and sat down at the nearest table.

"Sit, I want to talk to you," said the police officer seriously to Scott.

Meanwhile Kevin could hear that the police was downstairs. He quickly deleted all evidence of him hacking.

"Are you a hacker Mr.Nickmit?" asked the police officer.

"No, what are you honer bout?" replied Scott looking strangely at the police officer.

"Well, we traced a lot of http requests on the same webpage 2 days ago coming from your IP."

Scott looked at the police officer in horror knowing that it could of been Kevin.

"Is there anyone else in this house Mr.Nickmit," asked the police officer doubting that it was Scott who hacked a 14 year old boy's Facebook account.

"Yes, my son Kevin," replied Scott nervously.

"Hmm, interesting," replied the officer under his breath, "where is Kevin?" he then said out loud.

"Upstairs," replied Scott who was getting more and more nervous.

Kevin was listening to their convocation in horror.

"Let's go see him," said the police officer with a smirk on his face.

Kevin quickly turned off his laptop and started to draw on some paper, even though he knew he was a bad drawer. He then scrapped the drawing as it looked terrible and started to write a story instead. He was quite a good story writer, far better at story writing than drawing. He then got out some other stories he had written before to make it look as if he had written them that day. He went and started to write a happy story for he wanted to give the police officer a better impression of himself for he knew the police officer would probably read it.

The police officer slowly walked upstairs looking around for anything subspecies, and was closely followed by Scott.

When he finally reached Kevin's room after checking some of the other rooms it had been quite a while and Kevin had wrote about a page and a half which made it more convincing that he was writing stories all day.

"Well I see you have a nice boy who likes to write," said the police officer looking and the pages of stories that Kevin had wrote.

"Can you hand me that lad?" he asked Kevin looking at the story that he was currently writing.

"Sure," replied Kevin handing him the paper.

"Hmm, nice, oh very good!" said the police officer as he read through the story.

"Well I think we might have got the wrong person," said the police officer not noticing the laptops that Kevin had hid under his bed.

"Well bye, sorry for troubling you," said the police officer as he walked out the door.

When the police officer walked out Scott asked,

"You didn't hack did you Kevin?"

"No," replied Kevin staring past his Dad and out of the window.

"Ok, I knew you wouldn't hack, especially after what happened to your Mom," said his Dad in relief, Kevin felt a bit guilty.

Kevin decided he didn't want to go on his laptop for the rest of the day and decided to just watch TV instead.
