5. Amber

Amber POV

"Ok. So this is a tough team to play. We have to work super hard and give it our all. Alright? Hands in." I said to my travel team. They put their hands in. "Fame on 3. 1....2....3!"

"FAME!" we all shouted, throwing our hands up. My team went to the dugout and got their gear on.

It felt so good to say it: My team.

I'm a softball fast-pitch travel team coach. It's the championships today. All the "family" is coming.

I looked out at the bleachers, looking for my amazing boyfriend. He's never missed a game. Somehow, he's managed to fit time into his busy schedule to come to every single one.

"Coach Amber?" one of my players called.

I turned to see all of the girls smiling and the group moved to the side to reveal Liam, standing there with a single red rose.

He walked over to me. "Happy Anniversary, Amber." he said, handing me the rose. I smiled.

"Thank you, Li." I said, using his nickname I gave him. He chuckled and kissed me.

"Good luck!" he said to both me and the girls. He waved and went to sit down. I looked over and saw Madi, Harry, and their adorable twins sitting on the bleachers. They smiled and waved, giving me thumbs up. I smiled back.

I heard little squealing and turned my head to see Sky and Niall with beautiful Heather. I chuckled.

Aubrey and Louis came by the dugout.

"Hey!" Aubrey said.

"Hi!" I answered.

"So this is it. The championships. How does it feel?" she asked me.

"Nerve racking. Cool. Amazing." I smiled.

"Well, good luck! Lou! Let's go see Madi and Harry's girls!"

They both left. I kept searching for Salina and Zayn. Then, I saw Zayn. I waved him over.

"Where's Salina?" I asked him.

"Right here." I heard a voice say. It was close but I didn't see anyone.

Zayn held up his phone, revealing Salina's face on the screen.

I looked at it, shook my head, and blinked, looking again. They both chuckled.

"How-? Why-?" I stuttered.

"I'm sick and didn't wanna miss it. So, here I am, on Skype." she said.

The ref called, "Batter up!" and the game began.

"Go go go!" we shouted at our last runner.

She made it to home plate.

"Safe!" the ref yelled.

We all cheered; I cheered, my team cheered, the audience cheered. Everyone cheered.

I squealed and ran around the gate. I ran up to Liam and jumped into his arms. He squeezed me tight.

When he put me down, he gave me a passionate kiss on the lips.

"WOOP WOOP!" my team cheered, clapping and whistling.

Liam and I pulled away, laughing. I stared into his eyes and smiled.

Oh what a wonderful world.
