5. Bad Day Or Great Day

“This is seriously not on,” I said as I walked to the front room. Well, it wasn't much of a walk; it was more of a stomp. Niall followed me in and sat beside me stroking my hair. “I can’t just sit back and watch the damage being made. The school say they have it under control when they aren’t even doing anything to help the situation,” I said. “You got to do something about it,” Gabriella admitted walking into the room with Zayn’s hand in hers. “I do, and I have a plan,” I stood up grabbed my car keys off the coffee table and went for the door. “Let me come,” Niall rushed to my side. “We will be back later,” I said. “Okay, see you soon,” Zayn said. “Where are we going?” Niall asked. “To talk to Ebony’s Mother, Amy,” I answered. We hopped into the car and set off from Ebony’s house. Her mother needs a good talking to. “Do you know where she lives?” Niall asked. “Yep,” I answered. To tell you the truth, Ebony and Charlotte use to be the best of friends back in years 8 and 9. Then for some reason Ebony just turned and started to bully Charlotte, make up rumors and all the mean, things. Most of all, I hate Amy, Ebony’s Mother. She always had to be the best, have the best things, live the best life and when the family and I came, she was always trying to be better. But everyone knew we were better, we have more money, we have a bigger and nicer house, he had the looks, as people told us, and we were famous, none of that mattered to me, but somehow it really pissed Amy off, so I just purposely bragged about it to her. We got to her house and I got out the car to walk us to the front door. Niall was close behind, I could feel his presence. *KNOCK KNOCK!* I basically hit the door. Standing there for five seconds the door was finally opened by Amy. Oh how I despise her. “Well, well, well, look who it is,” Amy said. “Amy,” I rudely greeted her. “You ran out of money and need our help?” she asked with a smirk thinking she was right. “No,” I was quick to answer, just like the smile on her face was quick to fade. “What do you want them, fashion advice? Beauty treatment?” She kept asking questions that were to do with the fact that she wanted to be better than us. “Nope of that, so shut up and listen!” I finally said to shut her up. Her face grew in shock. “You child is being very mean and rude to others. She needs to stop it and today she was kicking my daughter down on the ground and hitting her,” I said. Her face didn't change. It was still in shock, then a second after it was back to its normal mean looking self. “I’m sorry but you must have the wrong family. Ebony is a smart, respectful child who wouldn't do any of that,” Amy said. “Well then you don’t know your child! She’s an ungrateful little—, “I shouted but Niall stopped me as I was about to curse and that would make things worse. “YOU!” Amy shouted and swung her hand to slap me across the face but Niall grabbed it and didn't let it go. Every wriggle of Amy’s hands, Niall’s grip got tighter. “Stop it, that hurts,” Amy whimpered. “Keep it up and the police will get involved,” I threatened and turned to walk back to the car. As I looked back Niall threw Amy’s arm back to her side and she quick brought it up to her chest to hold it and comfort the pain. I got to the driver’s side but Niall stopped me. “I will drive,” and he grabbed the keys from my hand. As we drove away Amy was still standing at the door with her wrist held close. “Are you okay babe?” Niall asked rubbing my leg. “Yeah babe, I’m fine,” I answered. The rest on the drive was pretty quiet considering we didn't have much to say. All we wanted to do was think to ourselves. We got home and went straight out the back to relax and have alone time with each other.

“I can do this. I can stay strong. I will not let them break me down. I’m a happy person. Stay strong Charlotte, come on,” I was telling myself. I needed all the will power I had to stop then from pushing me down. They can’t take me down that easy. *KNOCK KNOCK* “Come in!” I shouted to the person on the other side of the door. In crept Gabriella. “Hello darling,” she said as she closed the door behind her. “Hey,” I smiled. “How are you feeling?” she said as she came and sat beside me on the bed. “I have defiantly been better I can tell you that much,” I sighed. “Oh, don’t worry sweetie. I can make you feel a whole lot better,” she smiled and wrapped her arm around me holding me in a tight grip. “Well thanks,” I replied. “Let’s go grad a brew and have some girl talk,” she smiled. “Okay,” I smiled back. She stood up and held out her hand to me. I grabbed it and she pulled me to my feet and pulled my out the room and into the kitchen. “You sit down, while I make you your brew,” she said gesturing me to the chairs. “I can help you,” I protested. “No, no, it’s okay, it’s not like I’m trying to solve the worlds hardest puzzle,” she laughed. “Okay then,” I gave in and sat down. When she made the brews we sat down and talked about anything and everything. Boys, shoes, clothes, cars, holidays, and then it came to weather. “I heard it’s going to be great beach weather tomorrow,” she said. “It is, we should go to the beach,” Zayn said walking in. “What do you say Charlotte?” Gabriella asked me. “But I have school,” I sighed. “You’re not going to school for a while,” Mum said walking in from outside. “Why not?” I asked. “Because you need some time off,” she replied. “Is Sam staying off?” I asked. “Well, no, but maybe just tomorrow because it is going to be so hot,” she said. “Okay, it’s settled. Come on Charlotte lets go,” Gabriella said grabbing her car keys from the bench. “Where are you going?” I asked. “WE…are going shopping from a bikini,” she smiled. “Make sure you get a sexy bikini babe,” Zayn laughed to Gabriella.   I got up and followed her out the door. We got into her Lamborghini and set off for the direction of town. We parked up and walked into the street full of shops. “So, what type of bikini you looking for?” Gabriella asked me. “I’m not too sure, just a nice, vibrant one,” I replied. “How about an orange one, your tanned body that I’m jealous of will defiantly go with orange,” she suggested. “Okay, great idea. What about you?” I replied. “I want a one piece that’s not too covered but no too revealing,” she smiled. “Any colour?” I asked. “Just black,” she smiled. After about half an hour of looking we walked through a shop that had a whole variety of bikinis. “Wow. This has to be it,” I smiled as I showed Gabriella the orange bikini I had tried on. “Perfect!” she smiled. “You really think?” I asked. “Of course I do. We are getting that one,” she smiled. “Okay great,” I cheered and went back into the change rooms. We had paid for my bikini and now went searching for Gabriella. We searched and searched but couldn't find the perfect one. Some were to revealing and others were too uncomfortable for her. “Oh…my….gosh,” Gabriella stopped in her track and was face snacked. “What?” I looked in the direction she was looking. “Wow!” I shopped to stare too. “Let’s go get it,” I smiled and pulled her into the shop. She tried it on and oh my did it look spectacular on her. “That’s amazing,” I complimented her. “Thank you,” she smiled looking at it in the mirror. We bought the one piece and off back home we went. As we got inside it was quite late so I thanked her for the amazing time I had and went to bed. “Good night,” Gabriella called back to me from downstairs. I had such a great day. It was fun to do something like that. I hadn't done that in a long while. I put my p.js on and snuggled up in bed with a bid smile on my face as I slowly fell.
