1. Hide It With A Smile

CHARLOTTE'S POV:

"Hey Mum!" I walked in through the front door and chucked my school bag need the entrance along with my shoes. "Hello," she responded from the living room. I walked in an flopped down on the couch. "Reading. Seriously?" I laughed. "As a matter of fact reading is good for you. You should try it some day," she smirked back. "I'm okay with the internet and magazines," I giggled.  I was actually quite the reader but I always pretended to be a bad ass with my mum and she would always play along. "How was your day?" she asked placing her book on the coffee table. "It's still happening," I sighed. My friends, well...so called friends are being mean to me and they are assuming me on sleeping with every guy they know. Just because of one stupid rumor. It's not fair. "Don't worry hun, you will gain true friends a one point," she smiled. "Thank's Mum," I smiled. She called the school up multiple times but the staff never seemed to do anything major about it. "Now. Are you going to move your things from the door?" she asked. She was basically telling me to move them. I got up and grabbed my bag and shoes and went up to my room. My room had recently been renovated, well the whole house actually. My room has been extended with a big walk in wardrobe and my own bathroom. It's great. A great place were I can open my mind and let all the thoughts flow out. I also liked to do that with music too. I would sing my heart and soul out to the world. Sad thing is, only 3 people in my life opened their arms to me. My Mum, Dad and Sam were the only ones that saw potential in me. I guess that my ex friends didn't because they thought I was just some wasted space of trash. Why did they hate me so much? Why did they get people to chase me off school grounds? But I wasn't going to let them win that easy. I'm a strong, interdependent girl who can stand up to all the hate and still have a smile on my face. There were a few nice people at school, but I didn't really know them. Even if I did get to know them, it wouldn't be fair for them because everyone would also start to bully them for being friends with me. Trust me, I know. It has already happened a few times and now them people hate me too. I brought my books out of my bag and started on my homework.

SAM'S POV:

I walked through the front door and into the lounge. "Hey Mum," I smiled. "Hey honey. How was school?" she asked. "Good, but some people were making fun of Charlotte again," I said. "Did you help?" she wondered. "Of course I helped. I would feel so bad if I didn't, but every time I help she tells me not to because it will drag me into the situation," I sighed. "Don't listen to her. She needs support through this," she stated. "Yeah, I know," I agreed. At school Charlotte would get bullied maybe  3 or 4 times a day. It wasn't nice at all. I always stick up for her but she will tell me not to because she's afraid that people will then bully me. I don't care if people bully me, as long as my sister is safe that's all that matters. I love her so much, especially the fact that she will be bullied, but will walk away like nothing ever happened. A smile on her face and she will greet teachers nicely as she walks past them. I think that's why the teachers aren't doing anything, because they don't see her with a problem, they see her with a fake smile that looks so real. I'm going to see how she's doing. "Cya later mum," I said walking out the room. "Bye hun," she replied. I walked up to Charlotte's room and slight knocked on the door. "Come in," I heard Charlotte say from the other side. I slowly opened the door, walked inside and closed it behind me. "How are you?" I asked. "I'm okay. Just doing my homework," she smiled. "No, I'm mean honestly, how are you doing?" I asked her again wanting a real answer. "Really, I'm fine," she responded. "Charlotte, you don't need to hide with me," I reasoned with her. She looked up at me with sad eyes. They were watering and she burst into tears. I rushed by her side and held her close slowly rocking her side to side. "I...I just don't see why they can't think about what they are doing to me. I mean, deep down it hurts so bad," she cried in my shoulder. "You don't need their approval Charlotte. Who cares about them, they are all selfish and mean. You  can do so much better," I stated. I held her close to my chest for a good 20 minutes until she let the grip go. "Thank you Sam," she said, "It was good to let it all out finally." "I'm glad you did. Now I know how you really feel and I can help you," I stroked her hair behind her ear. "How? Nothing works," she admitted. "I will always be there for you. At least that will make a slight difference," I answered. "I'm glad I have you," she said. "I'm glad we have each other," I smiled. We made our way downstairs and saw Dad sitting with Mum at the kitchen table. "Hey kids," Dad said. "Hi Dad, how was work?" I asked. "It was great. Had fun with the boys," he answered. Dad was on a reunion tour with Louis, Zayn, Harry and Liam.  "You're voice still the same as it use to be back in the days?" Charlotte laughed. "Very funny Charlotte," Dad laughed, "And yes, it's still perfect." "Well it's good that you had fun," I smiled. "Thanks. Oh, that reminds me. The boys are coming for dinner tonight so wear something nice," Dad added. "Yey! We haven't seen them in about 4 years," Charlotte said. "Are the others coming too?" I asked. When I said the others I meant the boys ladies. Harry is going out with Maxine, Zayn is going out with Gabriella, Louis is married to Sandy and Liam is married to Ashley. Also, Liam and Ashley have a little girl named Nelly who is 7 years old. "Yes they are and they will be staying the week too," Mum said. "Okay great, let me go pick out my outfit," Charlotte smiled and ran upstairs.
