41. Goodbye

The boys' flight was scheduled for 1pm the next day. We all woke up and they all had their things ready at the door by 11. I didn't help much, just kinda sat on the couch and watched as the time flashed before my eyes. "Ready to go?" Zayn asked, leaning over the sofa so that our heads touched. I nodded and headed to the door. The boys and Lily were in front of us, walking at a fast pace down the hall, while Zayn and I stayed further behind. We held hands as we approached the parking lot, not caring about the paparazzi snapping photos of us.

A pool of tears formed, waiting to burst out at any second. There was a limo waiting out front for the boys. Each of them gave Lily and I a kiss on the cheek and little squeezes. I could tell that my baby sister was getting emotional by the way she sniffled. Zayn stared at me the entire time. My car was parked next to the limo, and Zayn helped Lily into her car seat after giving her a mighty big hug and kiss. When he shut the door, a pout grew on her face, transforming into the saddest face I've ever seen. I released my tears, making creepy noises as I cried and fell into his arms. "Don't leave me." I whispered, hoping he'd hear me. He didn't respond, he just rubbed my back and kissed my head.

I pulled away, knowing that if I didn't leave soon, I'd be late for my lunch with Heather. But then another round of tears came, and Zayn shut me up by giving me a long lingering kiss. Then he kissed my nose and forehead, then each of my cheeks. I smiled at him, realizing that he really did love me. I kissed him once more and released his hand. I shuffled over to the drivers seat and got in as Zayn took one last look at me before entering the limo. They drove away first and I went in the other direction. I cried the whole way there, almost getting into several accidents. I heard Lily's whimpers behind me, and it added cracks to my failing heart.

We arrived in front of the restaurant and I turned off the car. I wiped my face and smoothed my hair. I helped Lily out of the car and she tugged on my hand, causing me to bend down to her lips. She quietly whispered, "I thought we were a family."  Doing then same syllable thing she did last night. Then I plopped onto the curb and cried by eyes out, right in front of the restaurant. Lily pet my head as I sobbed, and a shadow appeared over me.
