46. Flight~Together

My mother, Lily and I were all packed and ready to leave within the next week. I was so excited, that it's all I ever talked about.  I talked to Zayn at least three times a day. When everything was taken care of, we were off to the airport. "I can' t believe this is happening." I whispered, to myself, and Mom just rubbed my back. She held on to Lily as we boarded the plane and took our seats. Then Zayn texted me: I'll be waiting for you at security ;) I love you.

 I smiled at my phone and sighed.

Then I closed my eyes, and before I knew it.... I was in a different country.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up about twenty minutes before we landed. "Wow, honey... You slept through the whole flight. You feeling okay?" my mother asked.
"Um, yeah." I said, yawning. "I didn't get any sleep last night. Too nervous." I continued, taking a deep, shaky breath. We landed and my body started trembling. "Mom..."
"Yeah?"
"We're in a different continent."
"I know." She giggled, nodding her head with a huge smile on her bright face. She hadn't consumed alcohol in over 4 days. She really was doing a great job at trying to stop. She squeezed my hand, snapping me back into reality. "What are you waiting for?" She chuckled. "Go find him."  I scurried through the crowd of people, leaving Mom and Lily behind.  People gave me dirty looks, but I didn't care. We all flooded into an unfamiliar airport and I looked for signs to lead me towards security. I got my luggage and looked around frantically for more signs. I finally found it and ran, the clicking of my heels catching strangers' attention. I wore a long summer dress with various colors and beige wedged heels. I gripped my suitcase tightly as it trailed behind me, weaving through lots of people.
I reached the security line and unbuckled my shoes and jewelry. I smoothed my tight ponytail and smiled at the female guard. She patted me around my hips and ankles, then waved the security wand around my shaking body. She assured my that I was good to go and I put my earrings and bangles back on as I searched the crowd for Zayn. I pulled my baggage down and finally caught his twinkling eyes. My heart bounced around in my stomach... and for some strange reason, tears welled up in my eyes. I snatched my shoes and dragged my suitcase towards him. The floor was cold and clammy, but I didn't care. I just wanted to get to him.
 I ran as fast as I could, bumping into grumpy people and ignoring their complaints. I got closer and closer within each second, longing for his warmth. He was wearing a sweatshirt, with the hood up so people wouldn't notice him easily. He held his arms out, so he was ready to catch me when I threw myself at him. He grunted as he lifted me, and immediately started kissing my neck while I cried into his shoulder. "Shh sh shhh. No, baby. Why are you crying?"
"I'm here. You're here. We're together." I whimpered, kissing his ear.
"No crying." He hummed and stared into my eyes. "Look at you." he said, setting me down. "You look absolutely gorgeous." He finally kissed my lips and lifted me off my feet again. He spun me around and I laughed. He pressed his forehead against mine. He kissed me again and I bit his lip playfully. He moaned and kissed me harder, gripping my waist.
"We're in and airport. Later..." I pushed him away and rubbed the stubble on his chin. "Help me put my shoes on. This floor is gross." he picked me up bridal style and walked over to a row of seats. He helped me with my shoes and Mom and Lily finally caught up to me.
I couldn't stop staring at him. He is the love of my life. And there was nothing in the world that could separate us now.
