38. Breakfast

I drove to the hotel the next morning, anxious to see Zayn. Noah hadn't contacted me at all, and I'm glad he didn't.

I knocked on the door and smoothed Lily's hair. It slowly swung open and Zayn smiled at me groggily. "Early bird..." he mumbled.

"I thought you wanted to see me." I answered, as he invited me in and kissed my cheek.

"Mmmhmmm." He put his hand on the small of my back for a couple of seconds, then leaned down to Lily. "Good morning, love. How are you feeling?" he asked, rubbing his eyes. She responded by doing the same and hugging him.

"She's tired." I told him.

"You should've let her sleep, babe." I shrugged at his suggestion. "C'mon." He took her hand and brought her to the guest room, while I made my way to the kitchen. I took the eggs out of the fridge and found a pack of bacon. Zayn came back and wrapped his arms around me from behind. He kissed my shoulder. "I'm sorry." he whispered. I let out a sigh and laid my head against his. He kissed the spot beneath my ear and I moaned accidentally. He chuckled, letting his cool minty breath enter my senses and making me want to melt.

"Don't...." I began, snapping out of his hypnotizing ways. "Do that."  I moved away from his body heat. "Don't do that." I repeated.  "Um, I was gonna make breakfast, if that's okay."

"That's okay."

"Okay." He smirked at me and I rolled my eyes. He walked away and turned on the tv while I found a couple of things to cook with. I noticed that Zayn wasn't watching the tv, he kept his eyes on me. "You do know that you're supposed to watch the television, right?" He nodded, without taking my suggestion into consideration. "You might as well help me." He hopped up from the couch and joined me again in the kitchen with a grin on his face.

About a half an hour later, we'd finished making a big breakfast and started to set the table. Niall was the first to appear straight out of bed, as soon as he smelled the bacon. The rest of the boys followed shortly after and dug in. I decided not to wake Lily, because she would just be grouchy. So I just let her sleep, and saved her some food.

I'd realized that Zayn hadn't kissed me not once all morning. I mean, not that I'm complaining, but didn't he say last night, that he wanted to hold me and kiss me? We shared glances from across the table with our feet tangled underneath. "I'm not cleaning..."  I said, giggling as I stood to my feet. The boys gathered around me and thanked me with big kisses to my cheeks. Louis and Harry promised to do the dishes while Niall and Liam cleared the table. I felt Zayn's hand tugging me and he pulled me down the hallway and into the game room.
