Always Smile

Amore was a normal girl. She fits in and always knew how to light up a room. But what people don't know is that not everything is perfect in her world... and this secret may lead to her end...

16. When I'm Gone ~Eminem

3rd person POV

Through time's eyes, another cycle had passed. From the golden colors of Autumn to the heat of Summer, the name given to this time, a year, had passed.

Her wounds were healed and through the days, she became closer to her father, the only one that knew she was alive. To the world she had been dead for a year, two days from now.

People had moved on as well. The man that she had come to fall in love with had moved onto another. This other woman, Cara Delevinge, had helped Harry through his grief. Amore couldn't hate her, for she had been his anchor. Besides, it seemed like they truly belonged together.

Amore's POV

The world had changed much. August 28. That was the day that the world thought I perished, the day everyone thought I was gone forever.

My school had a memorial service and April had been thrown in jail for 9 years. And as for Harry... he moved on. Cara is beautiful, plus, she made him happy. I didn't want to take away the happiness that we had together.

Meanwhile, I learned more about my father. It was just as I had thought, he left because of my secret... OUR secret. So I couldn't stay mad at him. In fact, I might have done the same thing if I had been I his place.

I woke up this morning to the thud of my father chopping up wood. I had lived in his cabin all this time. My hair had grown, and eventually, I had to cut off all the red. Using natural dyes from plants, my hair was now a dip-dyed purple, rich and vibrant without being too bright.

I walked outside dressed in a robe that I had made. My father also taught me how to make my own clothing. As I approached him, he said, "Good morning Amy." Using the nickname that he had given me when I was little.

"Morning!" I replied enthusiastically. I sat down on a nearby rock and watched him chop down trees for another 10 minutes before I blurted out,

"I wanna go back." It was sudden, but as I spoke those words, I realized that they were true. I missed the smiling faces of my friends and my mother. I still had the necklace that she had given me as well.

My father sighed and replied, "I knew this day would come."

I looked at him with hopeful eyes until he finally gave in, "Okay, we'll leave for New York tomorrow."

I smiled up at him, "Thank you."

"We have now landed in New York." The pilot announced over the intercom. We filed out of the airport. As my feet toughed the hard concrete, I turned to face my dad.

"Do you smell that?" I asked him.

He sniffed the air and frowned, "Smell what?"

"The smell of pollution!" I exclaimed.

We laughed for a bit and then flagged down a taxi. I wore sunglasses so that I wouldn't be recognized. We piled our bags into the trunk of the taxi and continued our journey home.

I stepped out of the taxi and gazed upon the place that I hadn't lived in for so long. I got my bags and walked up the stone path. Then I took of my sunglasses and knocked on the door.

It opened to reveal my mother.

A/N: This is JUST a filler to explain what happened while Amore was "dead." New chapter tomorrow (I promise) !! :) Thanks for reading!! :)
