All Hail Barracutus *On Hold*

War is ripe for the planet of Sempiterna. For generations the twelve major tribes/species (Unless you believe in the tales of the Wizards who say there are thirteen) have very little knowledge of the meaning of the word "peace". Only recently has the tribe of the Svets Deus brought about an era of peace.
In the meanwhile, Barracutus, a normal Kyanos Diamon, struggles to solve the past about the ancient forefathers of Sempiterna. Though could the knowledge of the ancient forefathers be a bigger mystery than he had originally thought it to be? Read throughout to uncover the history of Sempiterna in the first book of an epic trilogy.

5. Chapter 3: Rising Stars

"Let our house be your house for the night then." Yonas declared as he slowly stood up from the head of the table. Eusebius nodded in agreement and got up as well. The company of Svets Deus left the hall as they followed Yonas to their guest room.

Once they left, Barracutus grabbed his unfinished dragon staff and started to walk out of the Palace of Kings. Suddenly, Horribleecus questioned, "Where do you think you are going?"

"To the Temple of Hewhay," Barracutus turned slightly almost hesitantly around around and continued, "To return to my studies. I will then see you in the morning."

"Understood, but don't make me get you again." Horribleecus jokingly remarked.

"You know I won't." Barracutus walked out to the Temple of Hewhay. He looked up in the stars and thought to himself, "Such a large amount is out there to learn, and yet I feel almost imprisoned in this world with nothing but ancient writings." So it was written on the Temple of Hewhay, "Only those with ears listen and only those with eyes can see. The wise shutter in fear at listening to the power of the Word. It has been a blessing to those who know any language and their greatest curse. This is why we have separated ourselves from Sempiterna. The reasons for our absence are many and will most likely be misunderstood, but we will be watching. In the stars beyond there is a key to all things. Open up your minds and see... ~~~"

Barracutus felt shifted and uneasy as he continued to translate some of the script. His breath became louder... louder. He became delirious and his world slowly turned black as he fell to his knees.

"I found myself watching... watching those who went before me. I had been able to see our forefathers in-front of me. Yet when I shouted, I was not heard. I tried to warn them, but they did not understand. It was as if I was not there, but... but I was..."

Barracutus watched what seemed to be an odd looking Svets Deus. Only the Svets Deus was missing his own resemblance of all the other species on Sempiterna. Abruptly, the Svets Deus knocked down a Horridus Dens and beat it to death. He 'danced' around the body in joy with his head tilted almost looking for something. Something he was almost seeking for a long time. Rapidly, the Svets Deus's head plunged into the spine of the dead Horridus Dens. In a slow transformation, the Svets Deus looked slighly like a Horridus Dens when it was finished drinking the blood.

"...They are deaf and do not choose to hear even though they have been given ears. I sought for their protection and tried to redeem them. Alas, they still chose to be under the grasp of evil..."

Barracutus walked down a hallway. He looked to his right and to his left; he was in a prison. The hands of the unfortunate reached their hands through their cages trying to receive help. Barracutus continued to walk down the hallway and in time reached a room. A room with nothing but a table inside. Barracutus studied the table closely... closely. As he touched the table, he screamed in pain and fell down for his legs were dead. Barracutus fell flat on his face. Eventually he gained enough strength to roll himself on his back. His vision became white; he slowly looked around.

"...I urge you to stay by my side, and I will stay by yours. You may not have seen it, but I have been with you since the time you were in existence..."

Barracutus gained consciousness and found himself in a strange place. He was walking on a pathway of gold and green earth. There was a pinkish sky with a red, beautiful sun. It was a perfect paradise compared to Sempiterna. To his left, was a shining being weilding a firey sword. "Who are you?" Barracutus questioned in astonishment.

"...I am Hewhay." The shining being explained.

Instantly, Barracutus bowed before the being. Hesitantly, Barracutus replied, "What is your request my king?"

Hewhay kindly grabbed Barracutus on the shoulder and said, "Get up and listen. As long as you stay by my side, you will no longer need to worry, for my divinity will be by your side."

"Yes, but what is to happen? Am I to die?" Barracutus asked a little doubtedly.

Hewhay thought for a moment and responded, "I do not know what is to happen for evil has shrouded my sight. So now, Barracutus, you are the creator of your own destiny and many others. You must be going."

"Yes, of course. I will not fail you." Barracutus promised confidently.

"Do not make me a promise..." Hewhay looked directly into Barracutus's eyes and continued in a quiet yet serious tone, "If you yourself can't even control the future events." As Barracutus began to think about what Hewhay had just said, he became disillusioned again.

Faintly from the distance, Barracutus heard his name being yelled. It slowly became louder as the voices advanced up the hill. Eventually, Barracutus gained enough consciousness to shout back, "What is it?"

Figmus and Horribleecus responded once they reached the Temple of Hewhay and told him it was time to embark on their journey with the Svets Deus. Horribleecus asked, "What kept you anyway? It looks like you just woke up."

"I.." Barracutus paused as he tried to recollect his thoughts, "I cannot say I remember it all. Just a long night I guess."

"Well are you ready?"

"Yes, I am ready; I have everything right here."
