All Hail Barracutus *On Hold*

War is ripe for the planet of Sempiterna. For generations the twelve major tribes/species (Unless you believe in the tales of the Wizards who say there are thirteen) have very little knowledge of the meaning of the word "peace". Only recently has the tribe of the Svets Deus brought about an era of peace. In the meanwhile, Barracutus, a normal Kyanos Diamon, struggles to solve the past about the ancient forefathers of Sempiterna. Though could the knowledge of the ancient forefathers be a bigger mystery than he had originally thought it to be? Read throughout to uncover the history of Sempiterna in the first book of an epic trilogy. (New chapter released every week) **Please feel free to comment if you believe I made any mistakes in grammar, spelling, etc. Also any constructive criticism and that stuff would be nice** ** Finally, Story Rating: 13+ (Subtle, some-what descriptive violence)**

15. Chapter 13: Tale of the Blue Dragons

"Let me lead them." Horribleecus volunteered.

"My goal is to protect you at any cost as we reach the Western gate." Draconis stated with a harsh tone while she continued, "I honor you for such valor, Diamon, though I will not and cannot accept the offer." Horribleecus was quick to concede and to follow humbly after Draconis.

When the Blue Dragons entered the Western slums of Heaven's Peak, the bodies of innocent civilians were thrown upon each other in mounds. It seemed that every corner was covered with carcasses that were mutilated with the sword. The ground was saturated and flowed with streams of blood. The poor sewage system in the slums could not support so much at one time. A horrifying sight for even the most war-torn of warriors to witness.

Amongst the decaying bodies was a quite large Horridus Dens shaking in fear as his black blood dripped from his wound. When the Dragons passed him, faintly the Horridus Dens tried to speak, "'F you 're here fer... fer a fight, jus' finish me now... am the only un left anyway. Thought I wa' promised peace tis land by... by Yoj."

Draconis walked passed the weak civilian until Figmus ran in front of her way and made her stop. "How could you be so heartless?" Figmus snapped angrily. Minos was already on his knees assuring that they meant no harm and that he could care for his wounds.

Draconis widened her eyes and took a large breath, "He is none of our concern Diamon. I would have thought that you of all the Diamons would understand because of your rough past. Now, step aside."

Figmus clenched his fist and barked, "Make me, otherwise... we will stay until he has a fighting chance."

Barracutus also interjected hastily, "To leave this man here as he is now, is to abandon our own brother. He comes to us with needs, and we will see to it that we do our best to meet them." The other Kyanos Diamons nodded in agreement.

Draconis stared with enmity toward Figmus who stood firmly before her. Finally, she grumbled, "Fine, we will have it your way. Tend to the Horridus Den's gash as you wish." Figmus crossed his arms and the two glared into each others eyes.

Bucefulus walked over to Minos and the wounded civilian with a box full of medical tools. Minos looked carefully among the tools and chose to stitch the gash together. The Horridus Dens contracted in pain as Minos did the procedure. After Minos finished, he grabbed a vial of pinkish liquid. Cautiously, he put it into the hand of the Horridus Dens and stated, "I made this potion myself. However, it includes both ether and an anti-biotic compound that will resolve the fear of infectious disease. In addition, you won't feel any pain because the herbs will slow your heartbeat slow enough to keep you asleep while you are in resting due to the ether."

The Horridus Dens drank the elixir and whispered before he went unconscious, "You shown meh great kindniss. May Sev'n bless you." The eyes of the Horridus Dens then slowly closed as he entered a deep sleep.

Once Figmus saw that Minos was done, he moved aside and declared pestering, "Seeing that the more important deed is complete, we may now return to our escape Draconis."

Draconis just ignored Figmus's attempt to torment and went on as if things were completely normal, "We are almost to the Western gate then. If they haven't been barricaded already, it should still be a smooth departure."

The Dragons began to follow Draconis to the gate. Eventually, they exited the city's slums and the ground no longer flowed with blood of the fallen. Death no longer seemed evident in the city passed that point. Draconis briefly stepped alongside the road to thank Figmus for stopping the Blue Dragons and forcing them to take care of the injured Horridus Dens.

Finally, they came to the sight of the Western gate. Seeing that it was completely unguarded, the Blue Dragons dashed. The Dragons reached the gate when suddenly from around the corners of the gate and buildings they were ambushed by the Svets Deus protestors. Draconis took a sword through the abdomen and fell to the ground immediately. One of the protestors instructed, "Leave no survivors except that of the Diamons. They will be taken to our prison. As for the orders of Eusebius, they will be left behind and are no longer significant. For from his foolish ways rises a new dawning."

The Blue Dragons tried to resist, but surprise was not on their side and they were too quickly swarmed. After the Order of the Dragons were slaughtered, the Kyanos Diamons were forced into submission. Quickly they were chained and shackled and coerced to follow the rebels to the prison.
