All Hail Barracutus *On Hold*

War is ripe for the planet of Sempiterna. For generations the twelve major tribes/species (Unless you believe in the tales of the Wizards who say there are thirteen) have very little knowledge of the meaning of the word "peace". Only recently has the tribe of the Svets Deus brought about an era of peace.
In the meanwhile, Barracutus, a normal Kyanos Diamon, struggles to solve the past about the ancient forefathers of Sempiterna. Though could the knowledge of the ancient forefathers be a bigger mystery than he had originally thought it to be? Read throughout to uncover the history of Sempiterna in the first book of an epic trilogy.

3. Chapter 1: Welcoming the gods

A few miles from Kratern Topp the Temple of Hewhay stood, and so it was written on the Temple of Hewhay: "Only those with ears listen and only those with eyes can see. The wise shutter in fear at listening to the power of the Word. It has been a blessing to those who know any language and their greatest curse. This is why we have separated ourselves from Sempiterna. The... ~~~"

Barracutus sat continuing to translate the ancient script. "Surely, this is the writing of the gods and of unspeakable power." He thought to himself.

From the distance he heard a voice yell, "Barracutus! Barracutus!" It was Horribleecus, and he was in a hurry. When he was closer to Barracutus he panted, "I thought I'd find you up here. It's the Svets Deus... they have almost arrived. And look at yourself you're not even prepared."

Barracutus got up, brushed himself off, and replied, "Ah, Horribleecus, my amicus, I thought you would have been arriving sooner. I offer you my apologies, but what good is a warrior if he is capable of only brute strength?" The two started to walk off to the Palace of Kings where the feast would be held. Barracutus went on with his thought, "Is not a dragon stronger than the two of us combined and yet we still manage to drink from its blood?"

Horribleecus pondered for a moment and offered his opinion, "I suppose you would be correct as always, amicus. You continue to baffle me with your wisdom and knowledge. However, you know the Svets Deus's presence in the kingdom today is to be respected... and honored."

The two walked on both arguing their points. Though they did not care who was truly right, they were determined to 'defeat' the other at their own game. "Without the strength of wisdom, one cannot begin to overcome himself." Barracutus declared. The other replied, "But strength of wisdom does penetrate an enemies' wall. Only through action is such a task done." The truth is both of them were right in their own manner.

As they reached the stairs to the Palace of Kings, they were stopped by the Royal Guard. At their consent, they were welcomed in before the largest feast the kingdom has ever had. A count of three dragon heads were laid across the table, with the flesh of many of the wild beasts found near their capital. The ten warriors were to be seated across the ten Svets Deus. At the heads of the tables, the Most High King, Yonas the Zealot, and his lover were to be seated.

The king was highly respected throughout all of Kratern Topp. For not only had he achieved the rank of king, but he also achieved the rank of Zealot. The first to have done so since that of the time of Plagis, the king before him. His presence was said to be reached throughout all of Sempiterna. Furthermore, the Svets Deus's king, Eusebius, was going to observe the feast on Yonas's throne. *This was an act of kindness for visiting kings so that they needn't worry about food poisoning.* Eusebius had not been seen since the time of the last war when he was leading his troops into battle. Even a greater honor to see such a hero known throughout all of Sempiterna it would be!

It was all ready. The eleven Svets Deus came marching in. Like a parade, the 'peasant' Diamons watched for their heroes as they came treading in. They stood not much taller than the average Kyanos Diamon, but they were truly a sight to behold. It was like all of the alien species had all been morphed into one for them to look at.

When they reached the palace, Yonas greeted and welcomed them. In their royal armor the twenty-three of them all took their seats. Yonas the Zealot offered to Eusebius, "Surely, you must be tired from your weeks' journey. Are you sure you do not want at least a drink?"

Eusebius smiled and responded, "I am sure. Besides, I cannot take something I had not deserved."

"But you are always welcome, lord. Let the feast begin." Yonas declared.
