As the girl looked around in her bag, she heard heavy footstep on the tarmac behind her. As she searched, she grabbed her pepper spray and laid her nervous and impatient fingers around the cap. The footsteps continued, she grabbed her bag tightly. her feet slowly turned around to face the brute, only to find that he was like death walking. His presence made her innards curdle. He smiled, oddly that was the brightest thing about him. His teeth were so... perfect. She smiled back, he lent down to kiss her neck. His smile widened, his lips curled around his teeth. He was ready to strike. To claim another victim.
As the piles of murder stack up on J. Johnson's desk he must find out what is in common with all of the victims. There was no gun, there was no knife. What he found lead him to myths and legends, but they were the only possible answer.

I looked at the clock. Again it said 1:30 am. I went to sleep in the car. George was always looking out for me. I looked over to see that he wasn't there. Instead a note:

Dearest Emma.

Took Monty for a walk. I know it's early but I needed to thinksome things through. Tell you about it when I get back.

George xx

I rolled on to his side, still warm. He hadn't been gone long. I curled up in the duvet and fell back asleep. I wished I hadn't. That previous day came back to haunt me in the nightmare.

I woke up to the smell of puppy food. My eyes wearilly opened to find Monty licking my face. I put my hands around him and cuddled him, my eyes darted to the clock. 10:16 am, I was late for work! I through on my clothes and ran downstairs. I found George on the cooker, his head turned to look at me in panic and then smiled. He fought back a laugh.

"Don't worry, they rang this morning. You have as much time as you need to go back in. So why don't you just relax with me for a few days and then see where you want to go. Pancakes?" I smiled and felt the sharp claws of the puppy. I looked down and lifted him in to my arms. I walked, never taking my eyes of his, in to the sitting room and put the telly on. Then my memory put up the red flags, I grabbed the remote and hit mute.

"Hun, you said on your note that you went on a walk to clear your head and you would tell me what that was about when you got back. Will you tell me now?" I asked, her stopped just in the entrance to the door. He stood there looking at the floor, wanting to find the right words.

"Well, seen as we have a life together I was wondering wether you wanted to start a family or not? I know it might not be the time but it cropped up when I was at the station. I thought that if you were going to do this then when you do come through this undercover thingy then we could start." his head lifted from his chest and smilled. I sighed and then patted the space beside me on the sofa.

"George ever since I was six I wished I would meet a fabulous man like you and then have my children be that man's and mine. I love you know matter what so yes. Yes I would love to start a family with you."

He looked and smiled at me, slowly he placed the plates on the table. He stood up and then spun me round the room. I was happy with him at my side, I always would be.
