2. fashion disaster! -- edited --

"So, you really are going to join the fashion club?" Trace asked me, in shock horror. Trace was my best friend. Her real name was Tracy, but everyone called her Trace.

"Yeah, why not?" I replied, "It’s a great way to express my creative talents... plus, it will be a great way to meet some new people."

"Only if you’re planning on joining the popular Freaks!" Trace retorted.

"0h, come on Trace, it’ll be fun for me to try it out and it's not as if I'm planning on joining the cheerleading squad or 'The Barbie Dolls'." Trace only shrugged and the subject was dropped.

After I had eaten my lunch, I went in Search of the fashion-club room. Almost all 'The Barbie Dolls' were there. I Sat down at a desk and Started to design a dress.

"AHH!" Angella Screamed. Forgetting that she was the chief 'Barbie'

I ran over to her and said, "What's wrong?"

"Oh, EVERYTHING!” she replied in distress "This dress just doesn't fit! Plus it's HIDEOUS!!! It has no shape!"

"Uh" I said "May I try to fix this, I know I'm new but there is a fashion show tomorrow..."

I take the dress back to my desk. I can see that it needs ALOT of work. The first thing it needs is shape, it's practically RECTANGULAR! I Slip the dress over a manikin, I reach for some pins and start giving the dress a waist. The fabric isn't that bad, it is plain black cotton. Once I finish pinning the dress I will sew the curves in place. Ok, now I have finished pinning, on to sewing...

Now I've finished sewing the dress I go over to Angella and I say

"Could you try this dress on for size, Angella?"

"Sure thing, Grace, isn't it?"

"Yes, it's Grace."

"Ok, I'll go change then."

When Angella got back from the changing room, she was wearing the black dress. Sure, it was plain, but it fitted her, and it looked good!

"It still has some work to do, its a little too plain, but at least it fits now." I say. Angella nodded and went back to the changing rooms to take the dress off. That little -major- fashion disaster in my eyes is over.
