The Marriage and Baby Project - A Louis Tomlinson Fanfic

"Rosie Moore. You will be partnered with....." He waved his hands around above a piece of paper while covering his eyes. JUST TELL ME! "Louis Tominson" I actually started laughing.
"You're joking right?" The whole class was silent apart from a few 'oohs' started by Zayn Malik. Another one of the populars. There's basically five boys I can't stand in this school. Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and the devil himself Louis Tomlinson. Now i'm freaking married to the guy. I've been partnered with my rival Louis Tomlinson in The Marriage and Baby Project...

Chapter 25:

What Are You Doing Here and The Box?

Rosie's POV:

"He just pays no attention to me anymore. I feel like i'm not good enough for him you know?" I rolled my eyes for at least the hundredth time during that one phone call as Mackenizie rattled on and on about how her and Zayn were at a rocky path in their relationship.

Honestly, she thinks she has it bad! What about me? At least she has a boyfriend! This is the longest time i've ever been single and it's only been three days!

"Look Mackenzie, of course you're good enough for him! If anything you're too good for him! He just needs some time to see that, and if he can't the-" I paused in mid sentence as my phone began to vibrate against my ear.

"Oh I got to go Micky, good luck with Zayn anyway." I didn't let her answer before I hit the end button and accepted the unknown caller number.

Over the past few days I've gotten numerous texts from Revenge but I've refused to even acknowledge them anymore.

Plus tomorrow is the last day of this whole project. Aside from the fact that we're definitely going to fail, it's weird to think that none of this would have happened without a plastic simulator doll. Now everything has changed.

It's been two weeks. Two hell filled weeks and yet I don't regret a thing. Too bad after this everything will probably go back to normal. I mean sure I still have to work with Louis in the musical but that's it. Nothing more. Nothing tying us together anymore.

I was knocked out of my thoughts as I realised I had hit the answer button.

"Rosie?" Louis' voice rung through my phone bringing me back to reality.

"Sorry, Louis is that you?" I asked, probably sounding slightly confused as to how he had my number and why he was calling me.

"Yeah, so I was wondering, we should probably run through our lines tonight or something. You know just to get them right. I mean the show is in a couple of weeks and that producer will be there. It has to be perfect." He sounded so nervous on the other end of the line and I couldn't help but smile.

"Sure, why don't you come over to mine?" I asked him, biting my lip in the process, secretly hoping he would accept.

"Great, ill be over in like ten minutes!" I could almost feel him grinning on the other end of the phone.

I hung up and collapsed onto my bed, staring at Louise who was laying beside me. She had been really good lately. She actually takes breaks between crying sessions and doesn't keep me awake all night although she does tend to annoy me a lot during school.

"Do you know how much trouble you've caused me?" I asked the doll even though I knew she couldn't answer me back.

Then I remembered that there was a video camera in her eye and face-palmed myself. Seriously I do not have any luck with hidden video cameras at all!

Speaking of which. Mr Walters managed to delete the footage and gave Louis and I a warning just like Mrs Hudson did. We got off extremely lightly if I do say so myself.

I just lay there for what felt like forever, contemplating whether or not I needed to change clothes for Louis.

Before I knew it, I heard the doorbell ring.

I immediately started panicking as I realised I didn't tell me mum that Louis was coming over. The truth is, My mum hasn't seen him since we were twelve.

She doesn't know we're doing a project together and she certainly doesn't know that he's visiting our house. She's gonna flip.

I jumped from my bed in lightening speed and ran to my door as fast as I could. I knew I was too late when I heard the hall door open.

Louis' POV:

I had to stop myself from doing a happy dance when Rosie decided to let me come over. I honestly didn't think that she would agree.

I pulled up to her house grinning from ear to ear although I was shaking from nerves. I'd visited her house more than a few times over the past two weeks but I haven't been inside in years.

I slammed my car door and made my way to the hall door before pressing the doorbell lightly and waiting for an answer.

I stood awkwardly in front of the huge doorway, rocking back and forth in my heels when finally I heard movement on the other side.

"Louis? Is that you? Louis Tomlinson?" Who I recognised as Rosie's mum stood in front of me, obviously heavily pregnant. I couldn't tell if she was happy to see me or not. I just smiled lightly hoping that the awkward moment would pass and she would let me in.

"Uh..yeah it's me. How are you Mrs.Moore?" I coughed a couple of times as I tried my best to stay polite but me being me, of course I failed.

"I'm fine. Uhm...why don't you come in?" She moved to the side, allowing me entrance to the massive house I remembered from when I was a kid.

Rosie's mum looked sort of shocked and gobsmacked. I mean I would be too. She knows what I did to Rosie and she probably doesn't want me near her daughter. Her dad is a different story...

"If you don't mind me asking Louis, why are you he -"

"Louis! Mother!" I looked over to the staircase to see Rosie flying down it at full speed. But of course, Rosie isn't the most graceful or well balanced person so she managed to trip herself up on the last couple of steps.

"Jeez Rosie are you ok?" I asked sounding concerned as I helped her up off the cold granite floor.

She smiled lightly at me before looking over at her confused mum. Everything turned awkward from there.

"Ok mum, I know you're probably confused. Truth is, Louis and I are working on a project together. We have been for the past two weeks. I guess you could say we're sort of...getting along." Rosie managed an awkward smile as we awaited her mothers reaction.

"No wonder you've been acting so weird young lady." She crossed her arms over her chest as she furrowed her brows together. "Honestly it's a relief, I thought you were pregnant or something." She began laughing like it was the funniest thing in the world and we joined in.

"Well, I'm happy you two have finally decided to make up," I could see tears start to form in her mothers eyes as she quickly tried to wipe them away. "It's just like old times aye? I'm sorry, excuse me. Pregnancy hormones!" She laughed as she turned around and made her way not the kitchen.

"I'm sorry...about her." Rosie laughed slightly as she scratched the back of her neck. She laughed lightly as she turned towards the staircase. "You still know where my room is?" She grinned in my direction and I nodded.

"It's fine. If my mum knew she'd probably make even more of a fuss! And how could I forget where our castle is?" I began laughing as I thought back to the memories we shared in her giant room.

"Oh god yeah! King Louis and Queen Rosie! Inseparable rulers of Rolou kingdom!" She began laughing so hard that she had to crouch over, her face turning the same colour as her hair.

Sometimes I miss her brown hair. She only dyed it after we stopped talking. Obviously she wanted a change. She wanted to be different and not look like the old Rosie. I miss the old Rosie, but maybe she's coming back.

"I miss then..." I paused as we reached the door to her room. She stopped too and as she turned around to face me, I noticed the tears welling up in her eyes. My heart immediately dropped at the sight of her sadness.

"Hey, don't cry! The last thing we need is for a beautiful girl like you to cry about memories that can be recreated." I rubbed her cheek softly with my thumb as I looked into her bloodshot eyes that were still gorgeous to me. "We can do all those things again. Everything is going to be ok. High school is over soon. We have the rest of our lives to be together." I smiled lightly at her but she shook her head out of my grasp.

"You don't understand Lou. Once we leave high school, that's it. It's over. We're both gonna lead separate lives. We both want different things and I just don't think I'm going to be able to handle it. I'm gonna lose my best friend again." Her voice faded into a whisper as she looked down at the ground. I quickly lifted her chin so she was looking into my eyes.

"You listen to me Rosemarie Delilah Moore! No matter what happens, we can always take time to see each other! I know for a fact you're gonna make it big! You're gonna make it to broadway! Live your dreams Rosie don't you understand that? Ill be right beside you the whole way. Well I'll be one phone call away." My efforts to make her feel better seemed to be working as she smiled sheepishly at me.

"Promise?" Her eyes were still glassy but you could see that she was smiling a genuine smile.

"I promise. Now come on, if we don't rehearse you're never going to get spotted by that fancy producer now are you?" I winked at her and pushed open the bedroom door.

Rosie's POV:

Practicing went quite well. I can tell that Louis is more confident in his role now and so am I.

I still can't believe I just broke down right in front of him. At least he managed to make me feel better.

But in the back of my mind, I can only wonder, what happens until school ends. Are we just going to lie to everyone in school about us being friends now?

I mean it's not like we're dating or anything.

"Tomorrow's the last day." Louis looked over at me and smiled weakly as he spoke. I only murmurred a reply of "Yeah,".

"As much as she's only caused us hassle, i'm actually going to miss this piece of plastic." Louis replied with a light chuckle as he held the doll in his arms.

"It certainly managed to get us into trouble," I laughed along with Louis. I then walked over to my bed and looked under me bed where I had found the box of memories from my childhood over a week ago.

"Hey, come here and look at this." I grinned at the closed box and quickly opened it as Louis joined me on the floor.

"Is that?"

"Yup!" I began laughing as we looked through the box. Lou knew exactly what this was. He was the one who helped me fill it through the years.

"I can't believe you kept yours all these years." He said in astonishment. "I was sure you would have thrown it away."

"How could I throw away our memories!" I told him, holding up two crowns that Lou and I had made when we were five. "Do you still have yours?"

"Of course. That box was the only thing I had left of you." His voice quietened to barely a whisper as he trailed his finger over the messily decorated box.

I looked up to meet his eyes and once again, I found us both leaning into a kiss.

Don't do it Rosie.

I looked at his eyes and then back down at his lips.

My lips were inches from his and I could feel his breath.

Then that was it.
