9. I Love You

“Oh come on babe, it’s only a few weeks,” Harry said, trying to comfort me considering I was obviously upset. I don’t really know why I was so upset about the situation, I knew it was only a few weeks and he’d be back before I knew it. I guess I was just so used to him being around that I didn’t want him to leave.

“Besides,” he continued, “All we have to do are some interviews and promoting stuff for our new album, nothing big.” He smiled at me as he said this. I couldn’t help but smile back. I guess it really wasn’t a big deal.

“Well, ok. Just don’t into any trouble while you’re off in America. I won’t be there to nurse your hangovers Styles.” I said jokingly.

“Oh, you and I both know I will get into lots of trouble,” he said chuckling a bit.

“Yeah, good point. But it never hurts to remind you now does it,” I said, he laughed a bit more at this, pulling me into a hug.

“You know I’ll miss you Juliet, even if it is only for a few weeks,” he said keeping me in the hug.

            “Who wouldn’t?” I joked.

I felt his chest shake a bit from laughter, my head still resting there. “My point exactly,” he said pulling away and taking my hands, “no one.” He smiled again, that big smile that I loved, showing the small dimples on the outsides of his cheeks. His green eyes lit up as he looked at me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me close again, our foreheads touching.

“Hey guess what Harry,” I said chuckling.

            “What,” he smiled.

A big grin spread across my face, “I got your phone,” I said evilly, pulling his phone out of his back pocket and running off. I could hear Harry laugh a bit, clearly amused by my sudden playfulness. I heard his footsteps against the hardwood floor of his house as he began to chase after me.

“Juliet…..,” he called looking for me. I kept myself from laughing as I hide in the closet of his room, but unfortunately I let out a small giggle.

“A-hah,” he said pulling open the door, “Gotchya,” he said smiling. He picked me and threw me over his shoulder.

“Harry! Put me down!” I yelled, but you could hear the laughter in my voice as I playfully kicked him a bit.

“Ok,” he said evilly, dropping me onto his bed has he begun tickling me. He knew I was the absolute most ticklish person in the world, and he always used it to his advantage.

“No!” I yelled, laughing hysterically. “Harry! Stop!”

“Only if you give me my phone back,” he stated.

“Fine!” I yelled, finally making him stop, but he stilled laid on top of me, I look of victory in his eyes, a little smirk across his lips. He leaned in, closer to me, crashing his lips into mine. I wrapped my hands around his neck. The kiss was a little rougher than usual, but not with lust, with playfulness, because he knew I wasn’t ready to go there yet. He pulled away after a while, grinning at me, our faces still close, almost touching.

“I win,” he chuckled. I just glared at him, pretending to be irritated. But he saw right past it, planting another quick kiss on my lips. With that I couldn’t help but smile. I heard Kiss Me by Ed Sheeran playing in the background, I hadn’t even notice music had been playing before that. The song was from a few years ago, but it was still one of my favorites.

“Come here,” Harry said, getting up off the bed and holding his out to me.

I chuckled a bit, “You want me to dance?” I asked, “Harry we both know you can’t dance.”

“Oh just come on,” he said grabbing my hand and pulling me close to him. I laughed a bit at how cheesy this was, but then again our relationship was like this, pretty much just like a romantic movie. We stayed silent for a moment, just listening to the music, slowly swaying back and forth. I wouldn’t really consider it dancing, but it was still prefect. My arms were wrapped around his neck, my head resting on his shoulder. His arms were around my waist, and I could hear him softly humming along.

I soaked it all, closing my eyes and letting the music fill my ears. I inhaled Harry’s scent. It consisted of his aftershave and the faintest hint of mint, it was perfect. Nothing could have ruined this moment, nothing at all. I wanted to just stay like this, forever.

I felt Harry’s hand move up to my head, slowing and softly running his fingers through my hair. His hand then moved to under my chin, pulling my face up to look at him. A small smile was spread across his face. It seemed to mimicking mine, full of happiness, contentment. He eliminated the space between us, kissing my slowly and softly. Our lips fit perfectly together, and moved in sync to the continuing music in the background.

Harry pulled away hesitantly, like he didn’t want it to end. Our foreheads were still touching, his eyes locked to mine, and his breath warm against my skin.

“I love you Juliet,” he whispered, the words lingering in the air, in my ears. My heart skipped from shock, but in a good way. I hugged him even tighter, my hands running through his brown curls. It had only been a little over a month, but the words rolled of my tongue, much easier the ever before, almost like they had been waiting this whole time to escape.

“I love you too,” I smiled, our lips meeting once again.
